That evening, the party took place.
Bucky and Natasha were walking around the main floor separately, occasionally talking to other guests, trying to blend in.
Tony and Steve had found their positions else where, overseeing the operation.
Natasha wasn't happy with the mission, she hated the fact that James would have to watch her act like she was attracted to anyone but him.
But that didn't matter, he didn't remember her, only a name.
Natasha had been batting her eyelashes at Koven De Striser all night, trying to get him to notice her.
She hated laying this role but It had clearly worked as every now and then Koven would stare at her from across the room.
However, he did not approach her.
Natasha decide a different approach was needed.
She turned to her right and saw a man stood near her.
Natasha walked over and began talking to the guy.
She made sure to laugh every now and then but kept making eye contact with Koven.
Eventually he approached her and asked her to dance.
Natasha nodded politely before taking his hand.
Her act began.
