Dean strolled down the path as Sam thanked the driver, Dean was still pissed about leaving the impala in America. Their father's quest for vengeance had taken them to England and so Bobby got a job at a prestigious and advanced boarding school so the boys had better chance of getting in.
People were still waving goodbye to their tear-stained parents or happily chatting to friends. A group of girls passed in front of the brothers and stole looks at Dean before giggling as he flashed them a charming smile.
They walked up to the front desk and the red haired woman turned to face them.
"Names please." She smiled
"My names Dean Winchester and this is my brother, Sam." The older of the two replied.
"Oh more Americans!" The secretary exclaimed excitedly, catching the distinct accent. "We've got a lot of you guys this year." She babbled absent-mindedly. "Just before you actually, a big group of brothers checked in, in fact..." She trailed off.
"Yeah, your roommates are both from that family." She read off the screen smiling. She suddenly propelled herself to the right and her chair rolled smoothly over to a tall metal chest of drawers. She rummaged around in one drawer for a few moments before pulling out two plastic wallets. Once again she slid her chair over to the boys and handed them their packages.
"Dean, your room is 220b and Sam, yours is 310c." She explained politely as the two took their packets. "That's to the right and up the stairs, floor b is the first floor, and floor c is the second."
The two smiled thankfully at her as she continued. "Those are your school packets, they have your dorm key, time table and school map etc. in them. No lessons today or tomorrow and there will be an assembly in the main hall in about an hour." She finished.
"Thank you." Sam replied kindly before he and his brother walked off with their school packets and duffel bags. They travelled up the wide, winding staircase and Dean stopped when he reached the first floor.
"Well, this is my stop." Dean said awkwardly while stepping into the corridor.
"Yeah, I guess I'll be leaving you then." Sam replied looking down at the floor. Despite Sam being two years younger than Dean, he was still taller than a lot of people.
Before walking away, Dean reluctantly pulled his brother in for a hug which Sam gladly accepted.
"And remember," Dean began as they pulled away "If your roommate is a douchebag tell me and I'll beat him up."
"I'll be okay, I can take care of myself now Dean."
Dean began to walk away but turned back to glance at Sam with a smirk on his face.
"B1tch."
"Jerk."
And with that the two went their separate ways to their room.
After getting temporarily lost, Dean finally found his room and dug through the plastic case before successfully pulling out his room key. Swinging the door open, Dean casually stepped inside observing his surroundings quietly. It was a typical dorm room, blue walls pale sheets, beds, shelves and wardrobes placed in acceptable places. Dean looked at the bed on the left to see someone already sprawled across it. The boy's suitcase was placed on the bed and his packing was half done, with the occasional sock or t-shirt spread randomly throughout the room. The bedside table was chaotically decorated with used sweet wrappers but a golden frame stood out from the various bits of rubbish. Inside the frame was a picture of three people, the boy on the bed, a red haired girl and another boy who seemed to capture Dens interest. He was barley even smiling, unlike the other two, but his eyes stood out to Dean, they were a deep ocean blue.
Dean's eyes flickered back to the boy on the bed whose eyes were shut and he seemed to be eating some kind of sweet. Dean coughed awkwardly startling the other who sat up to face him. The boy had pale brown hair and light brown eyes with hints of gold. He removed the lollipop from his mouth and smirked at Dean. "Gabriel Novak. Yours?"
"Dean Winchester." The green eyed boy replied instantly, there seemed to be something off about this Gabriel kid, he had a flicker of mischief in his eye, sure it wasn't malice and he seemed pretty harmless but Dean was still suspicious around him as he made his way to his bed and began unpacking.
