But who could he have chosen?
The answer to Sherlock's question was unfortunately answered less than a week later. Kellin Quinn-the boy who found Vic-was killed in his dorm room. Blunt instrument to the head, and according Gabe, his roommate (not Gabriel), there was also the circle pattern on his forehead.
Kellin wasn't just the person who found Vic however, Kellin was his boyfriend. Was this just some dark coincidence? Kellin was the intended prey, the killer had chosen his bag to look through and Vic just walked in at a bad time. Or was it that Kellin was the first to find Vic? The killer saw his face and wasn't satisfied with mental trauma so stalked him until he could murder him. Or was it specifically because Kellin was Vic's boyfriend? It would make sense. Zoey was the first victim, Fiona was closest to her. But how did it get from Zoey and Fiona to Kellin and Vic, not Kim or Ross or anyone else from that friendship group? As far as anyone knew, none of the two sets of victim's knew each other. Was it really just bad timing from Vic? The killer was stalking one of the members of the friendship group and Vic just so happened to walk in while the killer was in the room, Vic didn't see him but the killer couldn't pass up an opportunity and start another chain. But if this was the case the next victims would be around their friendship group but Sherlock had already told his friends to keep a close eye on them and no deaths yet. Was the killer just desperate to kill again and that's why Kellin was killed so quickly after Vic? Or was there really no method and he was just playing? Spacing out his murders to put people on edge, so they can't predict him...
"Sherlock, could you please stop staring into space and focus!" A short, plump blonde haired man snapped and Sherlock rolled his eyes.
"Don't give me that attitude young man! Rolling your eyes at a teacher is very disrespectful, stay back at the end of the lesson!" The psychology teacher wailed then turned his back on the class to face the board.
"Well done." John whispered sarcastically. "Do you want me to wait for you at the end?"
"No, I'll meet you at our dorm." Sherlock replied in hushed tones. As it was the last lesson of the day Sherlock had already decided he was going straight to the dorms, and was going to stay there isolated from everyone, other than John of course, and think about the case. It was bothering him. Something obvious, but he couldn't put his finger on it. There was something he was missing. This something kept pestering throughout the rest of the lesson.
When the bell finally screeched loudly, everyone other than Sherlock left. The teacher came and kneeled in front of him so he was at eye level. "I don't appreciate being disrespected in MY own classroom." He scolded sternly and Sherlock sighed, irritated by the teacher's unwavering arrogance.
"Excuse me?! You do not sigh so ungratefully at a professional. I got a degree to teach brats like you! You should appreciate the knowledge I present to you! I don't have to do it! I could just spend all my time disrespecting you!"
"Yes but then you would get fired. I don't have to appreciate this amazing opportunity you present because if you didn't do it then you would be replaced by someone better." Sherlock snapped in return.
The small man's face flushed into a bright red shade and his face contorted in anger. He stood back up and slammed his hands down on the desk creating a loud sound. "Don't you dare talk to me like that! I have the power to expel you!" He yelled.
"Oh please, you don't even have the power to satisfy your wife." Sherlock returned.
The teacher's face dropped. His mouth hung open and his eyes went wide, presumably because he hadn't told anyone of his divorce as of yet, nor the reason why he was divorced.
Satisfied with the result of his words, Sherlock stood up and left.

"You're back quick." John commented, he didn't plan on eating either, he preferred to be with Sherlock for some reason. Instead of heading to the canteen with the rest of his friends he just went back to his room to wait for Sherlock. He sat on his bed playing with his phone, but as soon as his roommate walked in he put his phone away and faced Sherlock's bed. "How'd it go?"
"I exposed Mr Smalls' divorce and then walked out." Sherlock stated bluntly then took a seat on his bed and faced John.
John looked at Sherlock in surprise. "I'm sorry, what?" He questioned.
"I said-"
"Yes I know what you said. I meant how did you know he was divorced? And, why expose it? Haven't you just got yourself in more trouble?""Probably but his arrogance annoys me so it was worth it." Sherlock shrugged and John gave him a disapproving look.
"Anyway, I knew he got divorced because when I walked in I noticed the picture on his desk was only of his children, previously it was of his wife as well. Also there was a pale band around his ring finger, where his wedding ring was. That means his wife is no longer with him. It has to be divorce as it wasn't just a new picture, the wife had been ripped out of it, so she obviously isn't dead otherwise he would want to preserve her memory, no, they were divorced. Also, as the picture was ripped and he didn't simply leave it or get a different picture, this would suggest he's angry at his wife; my guess is because she cheated on him then left him for that man. Judging by his reaction, my idea was correct." Sherlock finished.
John couldn't help but be impressed and let his frown falter into a smile and laugh.
"What's so funny?" Sherlock asked.
"You. You just analysed a teacher's love life and called him out on it as if it's nothing. Brilliant." John smiled, looking up at Sherlock. The taller boy couldn't help but smile slightly in return.
They stayed like this for a while, just laughing and smiling and looking at each other. Sherlock tried to hide it from himself but he couldn't, he knew he was getting far too attached, and honestly, it scared him. He'd never felt this close to someone before, what if he messed it up? What if he did something stupid?
"So um..." John started, a bit awkwardly. "Any ideas on the case?" John asked and Sherlock groaned, he began explaining his entire mental process to John. Although John didn't have much to say that would further the case, but for some reason it helped getting it off his chest.
It wasn't long before there was a knock on the door. John, being closest to the door, went over and opened it.
"We wondered where you two went," The Doctor spoke cheerily as a flood of people wandered into the room and tried to find a place to sit or stand in comfort.
Finally everyone got comfortable; John and Sherlock sat on one bed while Gabriel and Sam sat on the other (Sam was more lying on the bed with his head in Gabriel's lap. This was so Gabriel could plait his hair because he kept complaining and it shut him up for a bit.) The Doctor stood with Donna at one end of the room while Dean sat on the floor and Castiel stood in the corner because he's awkward.
The group tried to focus on the case but then Gabriel asked Donna for a couple hair bands and she flicked them at him. He used what he needed for Sam's hair then started a hair band war with everyone in the room. It wasn't long before everything turned into chaos and instead of just flicking hair bands it ended with pillows and cushions being flung in all direction. Everyone joined in, other than Sherlock who just kind of watched with a stern expression but every time John laughed or smiled at him, his expression seemed to crack into a soft smile as well. This continued for a long while and then they finally started acting their age and talking about lessons and homework.
When the group finally had to leave and return to their own rooms they weren't scared, or disturbed, or upset, or angry, just happy.

Hey, so just a filler chapter today, I think it will be like that for a while because I really need to show more sides to the characters instead of just killing everyone XD
Most of my exams are over so I should hopefully be able to update more! Yay! Thank for reading this!
