As Gabriel led the way through the creative building towards where he assumed his classroom was, Sam tried messing with his chaotic hair that had been dishevelled by the unkind breeze. As soon as Sam was relatively happy with his hair however, Gabriel would immediately jump up and return it to disarray. After a while of this happening Sam gave up and left his long hair to its own accord. Once again, a lot of people of people were searching for their classrooms, some looked anxious, some were running, others mimicked the pair and messed about.
The two boys reached a richly coloured door with sleek golden figures on it that matched Gabriel's time table. The golden haired boy, without thinking too much, pushed open the door to reveal a typical classroom. White desk stood in rows facing a Smart Board and the teacher's desk. Black plastic chairs were neatly tucked under the tables and examples of work lined the walls in a decorative pattern. The classroom itself would seem bare and desolate, that would be, without the intimidating group of boys standing in the middle of the classroom.
One boy, clearly the leader, was talking in harsh whispers to some other student, he looked terrified, his back was against the wall and he was frantically nodding at whatever the other said. The boy talking wore black trousers and a black button down with a matching overcoat. There were about four other people in the room, just standing around the other two, preventing one from escaping. Sam and Gabe walked into the room cautiously, observing the scene from a distance. Eventually the group that were crowded around the terrified boy dispersed and the boy bolted out the class, brushing past Sam as he went. The group turned around and spotted Sam and Gabe, the leader smiled at them, but not a kind smile, it seemed more sinister and menacing. Gabriel straight away turned to Sam. "Come on let's go." He rushed and went to walk out but the group had already reached them and began cluster around them.
"Don't leave yet, we've only just met." A British accent laced with hidden malice called as the leader made his way into the circle. Gabriel's heart rate increased dramatically and he shrank away from the group, pushing himself up against the wall behind him, his eyes darting from each member.
"The name's Crowley and you are?"
Sam and Gabe shared a look, knowing this was the person who bullied Zoey. "Sam and Gabriel." Sam spoke calmly and bravely.
"Well, Sam and Gabriel, I think we could have some fun together." He smirked evilly.
"Actually, we are just leaving." Sam replied quickly but the circle around them got smaller.
"What's the rush? Stay for a while."
Before they could say anything else Gabriel grabbed Sam's hand and pushed past the two students blocking his path. They stumbled and fell over as Gabriel sped out the classroom, his breathing increasing further as Sam was pulled along behind him.
"Why you little-" One of the boys grumbled before standing to go after them but Gabriel and Sam were already sprinting down the corridors, out the building.
Gabe could barely breathe; all the air around him was thick and heavy. He knew what was happening, it had happened so many times before, so many memories flooded his body as the familiar feeling of venomous anxiety took over. He was on autopilot as he dragged Sam across the courtyard towards the field. He kept running until he reached the fence leading to a woodland area beyond.
"Gabriel..." Sam panted. "We can go back... now. I -I think we lost them."
Gabriel shook his head furiously; there was no way he was going back to more people, they can't see him like this. "I'll meet you later." Gabriel managed to choke out in a rush before clambering over the relatively small chain link fence. It was difficult to climb with every part of your body shaking and rattling but somehow Gabriel managed it. He sprinted through the woodland area before collapsing next to a tree. His mind was a blur and he could barely see, he began choking on his own fear as he dry heaved in agony, all he recognised was the sick feeling in the pit of his stomach and the destructive panic pulsing through his body every time his heart beat. Every moment a new wave of fear pulsed through him as the air thickened and seemed suffocated him so he was left desperately gasping for any intake of breathe to save his burning lungs.
His mind drifted back to when he was at home, when he hid under his bed as tears streamed down his face. He bit his lip trying to make as little noise as possible in the darkened room as he heard the thundering footsteps of his father stomping up the stairs. He squeezed his eyes shut as his door slammed open and a stream of light seeped into the room. He heard footsteps coming closer and closer to his hiding spot. They were loud and furious as they got closer still. Then someone stepped in through the doorway. Someone made his father turn around. They began talking to him, supporting and standing up for Gabriel; Castiel. Even though he was younger he still desperately tried to help but this just turned their father's rage onto him. Gabriel was paralyzed, unable to move as his younger brother was brutally attacked. He was such a useless, pathetic coward.
"You're having a panic attack! Gabe listen to me; breathe. Breathe in and out. I know it's patronizing but please listen to me." Sam's voice brought Gabriel back to reality for a small amount of time before he was plunged back into his own mind. Why was Sam here? Sam shouldn't be here. Sam shouldn't care. No one should care.
"Okay you need to trust me now Gabriel, these are normal symptoms of an anxiety attack, you are going to fine. Everything your experiencing is normal and will pass, okay? I promise you, you will be okay, I'm here for you, I'll always be here for you and I'm not going to leave you. Just breathe." Gabriel listened carefully to Sam's words and clung to them. He tried to steady his breathing and slowly but surely it worked. After a while Gabe finally managed to steady his breathing, tried to become more comfortable with his surroundings and convinced himself he was safe. This was far easier said than done but Sam remained by Gabriel's side the entire time.
"I don't want to go back... not yet." Gabriel finally decided after what had felt like an eternity.
"It's okay, we don't have to." Sam replied softly. The pair sat in silence under the large tree and waited for a while, staring at the sky.

Hey! So its been a while and I am so sorry but I have no ideas right now so I may disappear for a bit and when I return there will be a time skip, just to get the story back on track. I have not forgotten or abandoned this book and I will come back, hopefully with a couple of pre-written chapters.
So, this chapter was a bit meh, I have never experienced a panic attack so my writing probably isn't even close to the real thing. Just a heads up there will be more chapters like this and including things like family problems, depression, maybe self-harm and other themes along those lines so if you are sensitive to any of these issues or you find them triggering please please stop reading immediately. If you do suffer from something along these lines then I urge you to get help and talk to someone about it. I am not a professional but if you need someone to talk to I will happily listen to you if you feel it would help.
Thanks so much for reading and sticking with you, I will be back sometime in the future with new chapters and hopefully a good story. Thanks again!
