With every step Castiel took, his heart beat increased. Core PE was all well and good but this term, they were doing swimming, and Castiel was dreading the first lesson of this. He tried not to make his terror obvious to Dean and continued smiling at his friend. His body felt heavy and every muscle was like stone. They finally made it to the courts where they had to wait until a teacher took registration. They entered the courts and the blue eyed boy began frantically looking around for his brother. He whipped his head in all directions desperate to find his older sibling. Dean noticed the panic in the shorter boy's eyes.

"Hey, Cas what's up?" Dean asked innocently but Castiel said nothing.

"Cas?"

Nothing.

"Hey Cas, look at me." Dean placed his hand on Castiel's shoulders and looked into his eyes.

"I... I need to find Gabriel." Castiel stated softly, his deep blue looking directly at Dean's apple green ones.

"Okay, why?" Dean questioned.

"It's important." Was all he replied, shaking his head. Dean nodded in understanding and he too began looking around after dropping his hands.

Finally they spotted the older Novak, he was standing at the very back of the courts with his hands in his pockets and head down. Castiel rushed off towards him and as he got closer, called out to him. Gabe's head shot up, his golden eyes sparkling with fear.

"Gabriel, don't worry, we don't have to do it." Castiel began to tell his brother of his plan to get out of PE, and prevent Gabriel from having a panic attack. You see, the brothers were both perfectly capable of swimming; however they didn't want to deal with endless amount of questions and judgemental glares they would face if anyone saw their bruises that covered the majority of their bodies...

Sherlock couldn't be bothered to do PE. Swimming really was a waste of his time right now, he needed to focus on the case, not wait for a bunch of idiots to tell him he was a perfectly good swimmer. So because of this he had "forgotten," his swimming trunks.

(Time skip to the actual lesson)

Sherlock stood in the corner of the room next to Gabriel and Castiel who had also "forgotten to pack swimming trunks." The room they were in was very large, the floor was tiled with pearly white slabs and the walls were painted a similar white colour. The pool itself seemed to glow with a pale blue light, this was mainly due to the aqua tiles that paved it, and two lines of dark blue tiles also ran down the pool separating it into three lanes. The potent smell of chlorine overcame the senses; the sharp scent of chemicals seemed to mask all aspect of fresh air.

One by one, students emerged from the changing rooms and took their place standing along the pools edge waiting for their teacher. Eventually, amongst the mass of people a small boy with sandy blonde hair made his way to the three standing at the side.

"You two forgot your stuff as well then?" John addressed Gabriel and Castiel, who both nodded in response. They fell into silence, it wasn't an awkward silence but wasn't a particularly comfortable silence either.

A few moments of silence later, The Doctor walked out the changing room with another boy; he was short, slim and had bright neon green hair, they walked over to the slowly forming group, the mystery boy clearly uncomfortable, whether this was due to the new people or wearing little clothing or both, Sherlock wasn't sure.

"Hello guys, this is Jack." The Doctor smiled and gestured to his timid friend. A chorus of greeting began and Jack was soon drawn into conversation with Castiel, John and The Doctor after learning that he was Irish. During all this Gabriel still looked nervous, his hands were lightly shaking and his head was hung low, the usual spark of mischief wasn't there, Sherlock began contemplating the reasons for this.
