Chapter 8: "Where's Gavin?"

"You can not hang out with negative people and expect to live a positive life"

~

I was frozen. His voice was totally different. It was so husky and sexy. What the?

"H-hey" I stuttered still glued to the spot I stood on.

Then I realized that he wasn't alone. He was with Megan Lopez, his sister. Not really a sister but his father married another woman so that's why they ended up as siblings but I like to call her Megan with a Lopez. Daniel's mother died because of cancer. He was so strong when that happened, he still stayed postive and didn't change. That's why I admired Daniel. Not only because he was able to pass that experience, but he does't even show any grudge to the world, he doesn't make anyone's life miserable like anyone else who experienced that would do.

"Hey, Savannah!" Megan greeted, she was just my age that's why we got along pretty well. But since they moved, we only talked through Skype or message each other on facebook.

"Oh Megan, you're here too. Come in" I invited them as I stepped backward to give them some space.

"Didn't miss me?" Daniel whispered while he walked past me.

"Didn't change, I see?" I replied when I saw him smirking his way to the living room

"So Savannah! what have you been doing? We missed you so much!" Megan exclaimed as she embraced me as one of the tightest I had in my life.

"Nothing much, same old Savannah" I said dryly. "So what brings you here? Not to offend you but, you know, I'm just curious" I added with a smile

"We're back.." Megan said calmly

"..For good" she added while she jumped up and down on our carpet screaming like she just saw a unicorn flying to the end of a rainbow.

I was truly happy when she said that, they were my closest friends besides from Gavin before, now that they're back we can catch up on the things we missed to do over the years. "Really? That's.. Just.. Oh My-" I said failing to say a sentence but then my mother was eavesdropping from the other room and barged in the conversation.

"That's great!" She said clapping and walking towards Megan and Daniel to give them hugs. My mom liked them, no, she treats them like her own son and daughter. No one can ever hate them, they're just so nice and approachable.

That's when I noticed Daniel still quiet and looking at other directions as if trying to find something.

"Daniel? Is there a problem?" I asked

"Where's Gavin?" that's it. The one person who can bring my mood from a total Girly-girl to a walking zombie. After Gavin's name was said, I didn't know how to respond
