The Final Epilogue
A/N: So yeah, for those who read this story first, you know that this is the second epilogue, however, I can't promise fast updates for the sequel ((Facing Reality))
I wiped off the sweat rolling down my cheeks as I carried my things across the room. I've been unpacking since this morning and I still have a few more boxes to go. I left the tv on for some music while I figure out how am I gonna finish this by this afternoon. I haven't had the chance to explore the new neighborhood since I'm so exhausted but I promised my self that I'll do it tomorrow. Laura and I moved yesterday here on our own, finally moving out of our old house and neighborhood, she felt excited about it. On the other hand, I can feel something missing about the new place..
It doesn't have all the memories Gavin and I worked hard on.
You may be wondering what in the world happened to us, well to answer that in one word, I'd say nothing.
Completely nothing.
After our last good bye years ago, his promise of coming back in one year wasn't fulfilled. It's been merely five years since we've seen each other and three years since he last tried to contact me. He said he was busy and all that bullshit. I tried to send him letters so many times, but all of it..
left unanswered.
But now, I'm in the process of forgetting him. It's not easy, though, you can see 'Gavin Hudson' everywhere. Gavin written on billboards, on magazines and even interviews on tv. Apparantly, Gavin's the most awesome football player of all time. He had a scholarship and now due to football, maybe he is busy. But that's not an excuse to forget about me, right? But what can I do anyway? He must like someone as famous as him, unlike me, a nobody to the society.
I don't even know if we're still a couple because if you look at our situtation right now, we're like strangers..
Again.
Our cycle's so unique, though. Strangers to best friends to strangers again to friends to best friends to a couple and now, strangers.
"Hey" Laura greeted, waltzing in my room without knocking. Well at least Laura came back like she promised.
"Hi" I tried to put on a smile
She pulled me in a tight hug "Oh come on" she groaned "Can you forget about him for just one day?"
I shook my head "No, but I'm trying to"
She let go of me and placed her hands on my shoulders "Look, I'll make you a deal" she said
"And the deal is?" I asked placing some pictures on my desk
"I'll call Gavin" she shrugged "I'll ask him, myself"
"ask what?"
"About when is he coming back, idiot. It's been years, Savannah and you can't let him bring you down like this"
I shuffled around my room, thinking about Laura's suggestion. If I call him, will he still know who I am? Will it be awkward?
"Yeah, sure"
"What do you mean?" Laura said standing up with a hopeful smirk on her face
"You're right, go call him" What am I gonna lose anyway?
Laura was about to get my phone on top of my desk when suddenly, the tv blared out his name..
Gavin's name.
We both turned to the tv and Laura grabbed the remote to adjust the volume, in a heartbeat, our attention was on one thing and one thing only
The reporter was a lady who looked very professional and has been working for quite a long time, however, when she found out that the sudden news report was about him, she resisted the urge to fan girl about Gavin.
