Chapter 6: Don't 'idiot' me

"I left because you never asked me to stay"

~

When I got home I was worried about the fact that I was finally going to tell the whole story to my bestfriends.

What if they get mad because I kept this for too long?

What if they don't trust me anymore because they'll be thinking that I didn't trust them?

I know that I was wrong that I didn't tell them in the first place but I think now is the right time for it, I can't hold onto it any holder.

I decided to call Laura and Andrew to come along so I don't have to repeat going back to my past, I always feel weak whenever I remember those moments. It just made me remember about my happy days that I know won't happen again, as much as I hate to admit it, it's not the same without Gavin.

I scrolled down my contacts and checked Laura's and Andrew's names. I typed then erased it, then I typed again, then erased it. So I settled for a simpler text.

'hey, can you pass by my house? I have something to tell'

A few minutes later, Andrew sent a reply saying he'll be here in ten minutes.

I waited patiently and hoped that Laura's bonding time with her mother is finally done so I can have some time with my bestfriend.

To my luck, she said she can.

An hour later and we were small talking on the couch with some snacks on the coffee table infront of us, they all looked happy and I just wish that after I tell them the truth, it won't change their mood.

I wish they'll understand.

After endless corny jokes of Andrew and gossips of Laura and Monica, I finally convinced myself to open up.

"guys? I have something to tell" I don't know how I'm going to pull this off but I really want to say this, it's like I'm not a good friend.

"Well, can you please start with the you and Gavin thing? It's creeping me put since I know you hate the dude and now you're a thing?" Monica exclaimed

"Yes, please" Laura added

Andrew stayed quiet and nodded his head.

"Okay, first we are not a thing. We're not even friends, but we were bestfriends" I said bitterly

"What? Spill it Savannah" Laura said while giving me a look which an overly protective mother would give her five year old daughter
