Chapter 13: Damn, I would cry if you didn't end up together

 "Do everything, regret nothing"

As soon as I entered the shop, I remembered my happy days. Strawberry ice cream all over my top, chocolate on Gavin's nose. Laughter filled the room and we were so cute. We'd beg for more time when our mothers would pick us up, neither one of us wanting to leave each other.

My eyes were examining the place since I haven't been here for at least four years. Not much has changed, I even recognize some employees here. Cream colored walls with pink ribbons on each corner, fancy white tables and seats. As always, so many flavored ice cream were lined up beside the counter. Oh, how I've missed this place.

We walked to the counter and I was supposed to order my usual; strawberry ice cream with brownies and marshmallows. But then Marie, the one that used to accompany us was at the cash register. Once her gaze met mine, I swear her eyes were bulging out of her sockets. I was more than happy to see her, she was like my older sister. When Gavin started to ignore me, she would give me free ice cream and calm me down. She's a better sister than Eleanor.

"Is it really you?" She asked with her chirpy voice. When we were little, Marie was at least nineteen years old, God knows how she end up here, maybe now, she's probably twenty nine or thirty, I don't know.

"The one and only" I said as I put one hand on my hip and posed.

"Savannah, honey! You finally paid a visit! I missed you!" She exclaimed as she gave a hug. Laura was giving me a weird stare as Gavin examined his shoes like it's the most important thing in the world.

Marie let go of me and she looked at the people I'm with, first she smiled to Laura and Laura responded with a wave. When she turned to Gavin, she was speechless. Sure, Gavin changed. I mean, he was lame when we were last here, nerdy outfit and nerdy glasses now he's in a maroon v-neck top and black jeans, his muscles were seen through his shirt, and don't even start with his face, boy he's so.. not Gavin. As much as I enjoy staring at the hottie in front of me, I'll never forget what he did to me.

"and this is Gavin.." I trailed off

"Shut up! Is that really Gavin? Wow, just wow!" She chirped giving Gavin a hug.

"Then this is Laura" I said doing jazz hands in front of my friend once she let go of Gavin "My bestfriend" I added

"So, you and Gavin are not bestfriends anymore, yeah? I guess you ended up as something more" She said and winked.

Laura chuckled "What? No! We're not even friends, Marie!" I exclaimed. Gavin shrugged and looked at the ice cream lined up for us.

"Whatever you say, Savannah." Marie said before going behind the counter again "So what's your order, I guess the usual for you, Savannah?" She asked

"Oh, uh, yeah" I said

"The usual too, please" Gavin spoke up.

"I don't get it. Anyway, since Idon't have a usual, I'll take what Savannah's ordering" Laura said

We paid for our orders and Marie greeted us with 'thank yous' and a smile. We settled outside because there was fine weather today, I felt the cold breeze hit me and I felt relaxed since the very second we stepped inside the shop.

"You two actually know her?" Laura asked. Laura was sitting beside me and Gavin was sitting at the opposite chair of mine making us face each other.

I nodded

"Actually, yes. And if you're gonna ask how, which I'm sure you will, let Savannah tell it. I'm bad at telling stories" Gavin chuckled and Laura looked at me expecting to say something.
