Chapter 16: Sudden change and your sudden return

"I wanna live, not just survive"

~

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"Yes"

"For the last time, Gavin, no. I have homework to do!" I exclaimed as he pouted

"But I want to spend time with you"

"We can do that tomorrow"

"Come on, Poogy. I know you want to" he insisted

"Alright, but you have to promise me one thing"

"Anything"

"You have to explain everything, from the reason of your sudden change and your sudden return in my life"

His jaw dropped open "W-what? Wh-why?" he asked

"Simply because if we're a thing, I have to know, duh" I said like it's the most obvious thing in the world

"B-but" he stuttered again

"Come on, Gavin. I thought you'd do anything?" I said

"But, it's j-just that- ugh. Alright, but it won't be easy" he said quite uncomfortable.

"Try me" I said smirking

"I'll break it to you slowly, but please don't get mad?" he pouted

"I won't" I reassured him

"Here goes, it all started when I went home happy and I felt like I was the luckiest guy on earth, it was the day when we started to be recognised in school-"

"You were recognised, not me" I cut him off

"Whatever you say, I'll continue, okay?"

"Yeah, go on, sorry"

"So we were recognised, then I got in the football try-outs and it was the best day ever. Until I turned the door knob and saw my parents on the couch looking uneasy, this happens when we have serious matters, but this one was different. My mom told me to sit down, then after a few minutes of pure silence, my dad spoke..

two years ago..

"Gavin, we need to tell you something" dad said with his dead serious look.

"What is it?" I asked, I couldn't wait to tell them the awesome news I had, but then when they all looked worried, I started to be worried too.

"You have to stay away from the Roberts."

"What? Why?" I asked

"It's better to keep it a secret, sweetie" my mom said

"But I want to know" I looked at them with pleading eyes.

"You can,t. You just can't" My dad said sternly

I clenched my fist "Why." I said demanding for an answer

"We don't want to tell you, it's better this way" my dad said
