"My life will be a beautiful adventure, with or without you in it"

I'm getting ready for what will happen today, I have two options in mind
a.) forgive and believe him
b.) break up and forget him
I don't expect anything to happen, though. Not that I don't think he likes me, it's just that Gavin's not the cheesy boyfriend type. Yes, he likes PDA and other public stuff that scares me, he's wild. But no, he hates surprises and romantic stuff. At least that's what I've heard of.
I walk in the cafeteria, side by side with the friend that never left me, Laura. I know she can feel it too, I'm shaking. I don't know why breaking up with Gavin's such big of a deal. Did I really like him like that?
"Relax" Laura whispered loud enough for me to hear
"I'm about to break up with my boyfriend-slash-bestfriend and you're telling me to relax? Are you even normal? All I wanted was a peaceful and normal life, but now when Gavin returned and squeezed himself in again, all the walls and effort I made is useless! Now he even had the guts to make out with my best friend behind my back while I sob in the corner of this cafeteria all alone because probably you'll get tired of me and hang out with co-"
"Stop rambling, for Pete's sake! Everything's going fine! See?" she said while we walk towards our usual table, nothing's weird that's happening.
"But you're saying this because you're my friend, friends are supposed to say that" I whined and sat down on the seat opposite to hers. Monica is well, not invited here anymore, so I have all the space I want.
"But another job of a friend is to be honest" she reassured and grabbed my hand. She sighed and squeezed while giving me a warm smile. "You have to trust Gavin, now, if you break up with him, make sure that you won't be regretting this later in the girl's comfort room."
"That's the problem! I'm not sure! I don't know how to say it, or how I'll act around him" I whined
"Be normal, now turn around" she said and I turned around, my eyes instantly saw Gavin enter the cafeteria doors with Zach and Owen. Wow, I thought I'd never see this trio ever again. I spun around to meet Laura's eyes again "and act like yourself" she said.
I forced every muscle I had to put on a smile, walk with my chin up as I approach him. Not a single trace of worry is on his face, I bet he's not expecting this.
Once I was a few feet away from him, he finally noticed that I was heading his direction. His gaze met mine and I froze, I stood there making myself look stupid.
"just walk" I mumbled to myself and walked
I was standing in front of him now...what the hell do I do?!
"Hey" he said with his casual smirk.
"G-Gavin?" I stuttered
"Yeah?" he asked with a grin
"We need to talk" I said and his enthusiasm toned down a bit. Maybe he saw this coming and yet, he didn't do anything to stop it.
"Um, okay?" He said and led me to sit down on another table. When we were settled, I expected him to sit on the opposite side making us face each other, but no.
