"what are you doing here?"
she didn't look his way. he had been standing there for a few minutes and he wondered for how long she knew he was there but just didn't say anything.
wonwoo shrugged, keeping his gaze on her as she worked on painting the wall. like the last time he had seen her do this, she used a can of spray paint to make the designs. he wasn't sure if this time she had permission to do this.
"i was just passing by."
"and you decided to stay and watch like a creep?" the nonchalance in her tone confused him as to whether she cared or not.
"should i go?" he questioned. he didn't have anything else to do as he just stood there, but at the same time he didn't mind just watching her.
she still didn't look his way. "i never said you should."
"then i guess i'll stay." he said with a shrug.
"i didn't ask you to." she grabbed a different color of spray paint and started working with that.
wonwoo was annoyed with how she never bothered to look at him when she spoke. he let out a sigh. "i'll stay anyway."
"sure."
other than the usual noise of the not so busy street, it was silent between the two of them. no one spoke. ga eul just painted, and wonwoo watched. he moved closer so that he could see her better.
he liked the determined look on her face as she painted. it was as if she was in a trance that no one could get er out of. she was lost in her own world. was she in control now?
"what are you painting?"
finally, she looked in his direction. "i don't know." it was only for a moment that he saw her face and he noticed the ghost of a smile spread across her lips. she turned back to her painting.
a minute or two passed and he spoke again.
"nice hair." it was now mint green and wonwoo thought it suited her.
she didn't smile, still focused on her task. "thanks."
