"wonwoo-ssi, stop moving," she ordered as she continued drawing on the canvas in front of her.

wonwoo made a face but returned to his original position. he had been sitting there longer than he had wanted and he was getting tired.

they were in her art studio, which was just across the street from the coffee shop he worked at. there was a counter up front where a girl around gaeul's age stood behind. apparently it wss a friend of hers that she opened the shop with. they sold a lot of things--bags, cell phone cases, notebooks and other trinkets. paintings were hung on the wall. ga eul had led him to the door at the back of the room.

inside was small and messy, art supplies littered the floor and paint staining the ground and the walls. he had only been sitting on the by the door stool, admiring her works that hung on the wall when she had asked him if she could draw him. he was caught by surprise amd asked her why. "because you look cute when you're amazed," she had answered.

"are you finished yet?" wonwoo asked. she didn't answer for a moment, still fixated on the canvas in front of her. then she looked up and gave him a thumbs up.

he let out a breath and smiled, standing up. "can i see?" he asked as he walked closer.

she shook her head and stopped him from going near the canvas. "not until i'm finished. you can wait, right?"

"i thought you were already finished," he muttered.

"it's just some final touches," she responded. "now, do you want to go get some coffee?"

"you love your coffee, don't you?"

"of course. now let's go. my americano is waiting."

he laughed softly as he followed after her. sometimes he didn't know what to think of her. sometimes she was the girl who walked into the coffee shop with paint splattered on her face, and sometimes she was the girl who was smoking outside the coffee shop. he was curious.

she ordered an americano again and they sat inside the coffee shop. wonwoo had a cafe latte and even decided to get a slice of chocolate cake.

"do your friends still ask about me?"

wonwoo shook his head. "i think they've forgotten about you already," he replied. "the one that i work with here, he remembers. he's the only one who has seen you up close."

she frowned. "but i've always wanted to be remembered. i should make a bigger impact, for them to to remember me. keep thinking of me. i want to know that i've left some kind of mark. that i've gotten into your head and sparked maybe just a bit of interest." she faced him, smirking. "like the way i've gotten into your head."

wonwoo watched her closely. "why?" why did she want that? why does she act the way she does? why?

she shook her head. "like i said, you'll find out out if you stick around."

wonwoo frowned. it wasn't that he wouldn't want to keep being somewhat friends with her, but he realized that maybe he didn't have the choice of walking away. maybe she had always been the one to leave first.
