"you're supposed to get rid of the bad influences in your life," mingyu said, "if someone's pulling you down, or giving you a hard time, you don't have to keep them in your life." wonwoo was really look at his younger friend but he could see the disappointed look through the tone of his voice.
seungcheol decided a short break was needed in the middle of their practice. he didn't say it out loud but it was most likely due to the fact that one of them did not seem to be focused. wonwoo had been distant for a while, always seeming a bit dazed every time he arrived at the dorm from his shift at the coffee shop. at first, they shrugged it off as just being tired from work, but mingyu didn't seem to have the same problem. the only plausible reason for his state was the noona he liked to hang out with. because mingyu knew the girl more than the others, they had volunteered him to talk to wonwoo about it.
wonwoo shook his head. "she's not a bad influence." he knew that wasn't really accurate. sure, she was a bit unconventional but she wasn't a bad person.
"if she's making you act this way, then maybe she is, hyung," mingyu stated.
"making me act like what?" the older boy questioned. "i thought you were okay with her. what happened to teasing me about liking her?"
the younger boy shook his head. "that was before we started noticing that being with her has such a bad effect on you."
maybe mingyu was right. wonwoo knew that his friends were really concerned for him, but a large part of him just wanted to defend ga eul from the accusations. he didn't think she was bad for him. if anything, she made his life a little more interesting. at least, that's what he thought. to his friends, she just brought on some unnecessary drama.
seungcheol came back into the room, announcing that the break was over. mingyu stood up, pulling wonwoo up with him. they were about to join the other in the middle of the room but then mingyu said something that made him freeze and think. "hyung, how did you know i was talking about her? i only said to get rid of the bad influences. if you didn't think she was also a bad influence then you wouldn't have thought of her then."
maybe mingyu was right.
