"do you know someone named sungmin?"
ga eul raised an eyebrow at him, handing her payment for the coffee. "the name sounds familiar. why do you ask?"
wonwoo shrugged. "someone came into the shop the other day. he said he knew you, that he was an old friend."
"oh. him. he was... yeah. he was an old friend," she confirmed. wonwoo looked for a trace of emotion in her face, hoping to get a hint of what kind of friend the guy actually was. "i haven't seen him in a while." she paused, thinking. "oh, wait. i saw him recently, i think. he asked about you."
"were you two very close?"
she shrugged. "i don't think so," she said, "at least, not as close as we are."
wonwoo just nodded, letting her answer sink in for a moment. the smile crept onto his lips on its own. "so we really are friends?"
she rolled er eyes. "what makes you think otherwise, pabo," she said.
"just as long as we're still friends, i'm alright."
she snorted. "don't get ahead of yourself. we don't know what could happen in the future."
