"There is no escaping the bite, Commander." Shauna said before turning into a full-blown zombie and lashing towards the screen.
The credits began to roll and the lights were slowly turning back on. I looked over at Milly and she was on the edge of her seat in tears.
"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" she exploded. Some people stared as they walked out. She turned to me. "How could they kill off Shauna?! This is an outrage!"
I grabbed her hand and we walked out of the theater into the night sky.
"How could they just let Shauna get bitten?! How could Shauna even get bitten?! She's invincible!" she continued asking questions as we got into the car.
"I know, Mill. It's cruel and unusual punishment. They should've killed off Fiona, but Shauna is too much of a goddamn hero so she had to save her," I replied angrily. It was complete bullshit.
"Freaking Fiona, man." she mumbled with a pout.
I just sighed and drove back to her house. When we got there, I had to carry her in again because she fell asleep. I put her to bed and left her a note.
I'm sorry the movie sucked legit ass, but I'm glad I got to watch it with you

I sneaked out again and instead of driving to my house, I drove to Tyler's. I knew his parents wouldn't be home and that I already had some clothes over there. I wished that I would turn around, stop being such a coward and talking to my dad. But I didn't. I continued the drive and rang the doorbell. I checked my phone to see how late it was. Nine o'seven. I placed my phone back into my jacket pocket right as Ashley opened the door wearing an over-sized shirt. Here comes the laughter again.
She yawned. "What are you doing here?"
"If I had any dignity, I would tell a lie. Since I don't, I am hiding from my father. Where's Ty?"
"Shower," she answered. "Are you planning on staying here?"
"Yeah," I answered, slightly embarrassed. Now that I hear it, it's extremely sad. A seventeen year old can't even face his father.
"Well, come in. It's freezing out here."

I woke up to my phone ringing. Why does this keep happening? I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry, my ringtone for Emily, was playing. I answered it.
"Hello?" I said groggily.
"Hey, can I spend the night? I'm outside," she asked. Of course I couldn't leave her outside.
"Yeah, hold on." I put on my slippers and Donovan's hoodie. He's left it over and never claimed it, so I've made it mine. I walked downstairs and unlocked the door. I saw Emily with tear-stained cheeks and a backpack slung over her shoulders. She looked like she had been sobbing for hours.
"Em, what happened?" I asked.
She opened her mouth to say something, but burst into tears instead. I pulled her into a hug and she sobbed into my jacket. I rubbed her back until her tears died down. I took her upstairs and gave her a bottle of water and we sat on my bedroom floor. I couldn't look at her without crying too. Her face was freshly painted with two coats of tears, her clothes were drenched in tears and her hair was a mess. She looked like the definition of miserable.
