~Millicent~
5 years laterI can't believe I'm writing this in a diary. Oh well. I guess I'll start with my life now. I'm 22. Madison and Michael got married and finally had Maegan, my niece, and 2 years later they had my nephew Mason.
I stupidly skipped college and moved in with Ashley and Emily. I love living with my two best friends. They were truly the only ones that were there for me when Donovan left. Tyler and Ashley are still dating. Emma and Jenna sadly broke up. Emma proposed 2 years ago and Jen said she wasn't ready for that big of a commitment. Emma's been single ever since. And after Donovan left, so have I.
I've dated guys, but never longer than a month because I knew it wasn't real. I loved, and still love, Donovan too much to completely let him go. Ugh, I sound so pathetic.
Anyways, after I skipped out on college, I started working at a music store. I've learned the guitar and still practice on my oboe. I give lessons to kids and teenagers there and I love it.
Music has always been and forever will be my life. It's the one thing I can always count on to stay with me forever. Ugh, now I sound even more pathet
"MILL!!" Emily screeched.
I sighed, closed my journal, and hopped off my bay window. I walked into the kitchen, where she spent most of her time, and saw her rummaging through drawers.
"Where's my phone?" she asked.
I clenched my jaw. "That's what you screamed bloody murder for?"
"I promised to call somebody. This is serious!"
I looked around the room with my eyes and saw her phone in our glass cabinet. While she had her back turned, I tiptoed around the counters, swiped it, and went back to my original spot.
"I know where your phone is."
"WHERE!?"
"Goddamn! Chill. I'll tell you if you tell me who you're calling."
"Millicent Jane Evans, you are 22 years old."
"And I'm still childish as hell. Tell me!"
"It's Quinn," she mumbled.
"I'm sorry. What?" I heard her, but I was so excited that I wanted everyone in the apartment to hear. Including Ashley and Tyler who were probably doing the nasty as we speak. That's the only thing they ever seem to do when he's over here. That is why my room is the only other room with a lock on it besides Ash's. I do not need them in my room.
"UGH, IT'S QUINN!" she shouted louder.
As soon as she finished her sentence, I the muffled sounds of two pairs of running footsteps come down the stairs.
Ashley, wearing Tyler's shirt, and Ty, wearing nothing but a pair of pajama pants, appeared in a matter of seconds to the kitchen.
"IS IT TRUE!?" they squealed in unison. God, they need to get married. And fast. There's more than enough room for them at Tyler's apartment and at our place. When I turned 18, I had gained access to a secret trust fund my parents had for me. Maddy had one too, but didn't get her's until she was 28.
