Slumping through the school hallways to my locker had felt like a chore by now, and I couldn't help but groan as my locker got stuck again.
"Great..." I murmured sarcastically, hitting the metal door till it popped open. Because of this almost daily routine, it had a few dents in it.
I took out my English and Math books, walking to my first class while occasionally adjusting my bag strap.
Opening the door to my English class, I sat down at my desk in the front row. I was five minutes early as usual, and I was chewing some gum.
"Good morning, Scarlet." Mr Urie smiled, sitting at the large desk opposite.
"Hi Mr Urie." I smiled back, sitting back in my chair.
"You're gonna have to spit that him out when class actually starts, y'know." He said, smirking.
"I know." I said, pulling out a comic book and picking up from where I left off.
We weren't allowed to use comics as a replacement to books in English, Mr Urie let me because he likes comics, too, which was cool. He was definitely my favourite teacher, without a doubt, he was really nice to me. And not to mention the fact that he is probably the most attractive person I've ever seen in my whole life. He's probably the main reason I turn up to English early everyday, even if it's just to look at him. I sound really obsessed, but I swear I'm not. A guy like him where I come from is quite rare, so I want to savour it.
Pretty soon, other kids started to file in and sit in their seats, and Mr Urie cleared his throat and got up. It was an obvious fake throat-clearing, so I wondered why he did it.

During the lesson as he explained things on the whiteboard, I thought about him more. The way he always had a few strands of hair hanging over his forehead, and he tried to slick them back again but failed, was so cute. Even the way he makes a weird face when makes a typo.
"Scarlet?" I heard him say.
"Oh, what was the question?" I replied instinctively.
"Class is over," He laughed.
Oh great, I thought as I saw the last kid leave the room.
"Actually I-er, stayed behind because I wanted to ask something," I said.
Wow, Scarlet, your smooth except for the fact that you have nothing to ask him.
"Uh...I wanted to know if I could get some tutoring. My grades haven't been...great," I said, and I didn't lie. My grades when from an A to a C, and I needed to get them back up again.
"Yeah, that's fine. When do you want to start?" Me Urie asked.
"Today after school?"
"Sounds great!" He smiled.
His smile was perfect.
"Okay, thanks. Bye Mr Urie!" I said, departing from my desk and heading to the door.
"Goodbye Scarlet!" He replied.
As I made my way to Math, I thought about how smart I was.
This is perfect! Not only did you think of a good, plausible excuse as to why you were still there, but it was also one that induced more Urie into your life!

I really am a genius.
