Chapter 11. Lucy's (POV) my heart was just ripped in two. Now I'm mad. Zeref really just pissed me off. I held back the tears, I'm tired of crying. If Ace said that his parents eventually die, and he was left alone to fend for himself, then I'm going to change that future! Zeref stepped in. "Now it's time for your punishment." He said degrading me. I stood up and wiped the tears. "What exactly do you think Natsu will do once you torture me? Huh? Do you really expect him to give you a brotherly hug or something? Are you really that stupid?" I questioned. "He will eventually get here, and once END awakens, there will be no grudges held against me. END won't care anything about you? You mean a lot less to Natsu that you think. Now, step back in your place. You're nothing. Your existence means nothing." He said. I gritted my teeth. I went in to punch him but he grabbed my wrist and slammed me down. The floor was ice cold and it made me shiver. My eyes widened, figuring out the situation. "Get off!" I screamed. I closed my eyes quickly and then flashed them back open. A very familiar voice approached. "What the heck are you doing? Putting your hands where you don't belong? Who the _____ do you think you are?" Natsu asked gripping zerefs arm. He threw him to the side and helped me up. "Did he hurt you?" He said worried as can be. "I'm fine." I said hugging him. "You're here now. I don't have to worry." I said signing. He grabbed my hands. "These bruises...how did you get them." He said glaring at Zeref. "Natsu...I've been wanting to see you for a long time." He said, standing up. "Yeah, same here. I've got a temper and you've really got on my last nerve. All this brother crap you're saying. That I'm END... If they are the truth, then that's not who I am anymore... I'm not some puppet of yours. I'm a human being. I don't have to live up to your expectations!" He demanded. Zeref smiled. "You already have." He said. "Ahhhhh!" Natsu screamed. "What wrong I said." Crouching down next to him. He covered his eyes. When he looked up they where blood red. "Natsu!" I screamed. His skin began getting tough. Scales started appearing all over his body. Dark red wings tore out from his back. "Natsu! Calm down." I said. "He's mine now Lucy...you lost the minute he came here." Zeref said and I panicked. Natsu grabbed my wrist with one hand and my neck with another. "Natsu..." I said. He wasn't Natsu right now. He was END. "Natsu please, it's me your...girlfriend...Lucy" I said. He didn't seem to care who I was but he wanted to kill me. It's like he was waiting for Zerefs word. "Do as you please...little brother." He said. He pressed on my throat harder. "Natsu." I said. Trying to pry his hands from my neck. He got closer. "I grabbed his neck and pulled him even closer. I kissed him. It was the only thing I could think of. I needed t connect with him right now. He didn't seem to push me away but we didn't let up on his grip, and he didn't kiss me back. "Natsu I love you. You're Natsu Dragneel...please remember me..." He quickly let go and stood up. He reach down for my hand as his wings disappeared and his scales blended back in to his skin. "Forgive me... You can trust me...I won't hurt you." He said looking away. I took his hand a pulled me up. I stood behind him while holding onto his hand. "You'll eventually stop rejecting the transformation and let it come out. It will begin hurting you everyday until you finally stop holding back. Now since it's already happened once, it will never stop wanting out. END is a part of you. When you except that, you will leave everyone you care about and you me. When that time comes.
