Expect The Unexpected (H-Town)

Prologue

"And why not?" Kaedi asked confused and hurt.

Dino laughed because he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"You really think we would make a good couple? I see you as my sister Kaedi. I could never date you, that shit would be too fucking weird. Don't get me wrong - you got it going on but we could never be" Dino confirmed harshly.

Kaedi, Leah, Stacey, Dino, Shazam, and G.I. are all in the middle of a game called Spin The Bottle. Kaedi spun the bottle and it landed on Dino. Now she has the biggest crush on Dino ever since they were six years old. She always expected for them to be together when they got older. She definitely was not expecting Dino to say that.

She was hurt but she wasn't going to let it show. She turned her head and wiped her tear that escaped her eye.

"Aight whatever. Stacey spin the bottle." She said rolling her eyes. Dino looked at Kaedi curiously but she avoided eye contact with him.

Stacey spun the bottle and it landed on Shazam. She bit her lip and he sighed inwardly. "So do you want me to admit a truth or kiss you?" He asked trying to get it out of the way.

Stacey pretended to ponder on his question but she already knew the answer. "Kiss me." She retorted.

He leaned in and they kissed which seemed like forever to Kaedi but it really wasn't. Everyone cheered them on but her. Dino looked at her and she rolled her eyes at him.

They finally separated and it was kinda awkward. Kaedi took a shot and then another one. Leah finally spun the bottle and it landed on G.I. and they both smiled at each other. Everyone at this point was pretty damn faded but Kaedi had sobered up after Dino's response.

"Do you have a thing for me Darryl?" Leah asked him.

"I think you cute yea but I don't see me dating you." He told her honestly.

"Ok! That's the end of this game!" Stacey said and stumbled while standing up. Good thing everyone either has to go up the block or across the street to their homes.

Everyone left after another hour of drinking, expect for Dino who stayed at Kaedi house. He followed her into the kitchen and she grabbed a bottle of water.

"Is there a reason why you still chillen around my crib? Everyone else already left." She said not wanting to be around him.

"I just wanna make sure that everything is everything with you." He replied standing in front of her.

She rolled her eyes and drank some of her water. "I'm fine and you can leave." She told him harshly.

"This doesn't have anything to do with the game earlier now does it?" He asks standing closer to her. Her heart beat sped up a little bit and she drank more water.

"Nah I'm tired and ready to sleep that's all." She lied.

Dino gave her that he didn't believe her face and shook his head. "You want me to stay over and keep you company?" He asked.

"Nah I'm good. Good night Keven. I'll see you in class tomorrow." She told him walking to the door. She held the door open for him and he walked out.

She closed the door and then locked it. She slid down the back of the door and cried. She cried a little bit but got to cleaning eventually because her family would be home in the morning.
