Thanksgiving At The Roberts

Today is Thanksgiving and my wedding is in a few days. Dino also agreed to let Abel come to the wedding, he's still skeptical about him though.

I sat in the mirror finishing my makeup when Brianna walked in. I started putting my makeup away and she took a lipstick out.

"Where's your lipstick? And who gave you permission to use mine?" I asked her parting my hair down the middle.

"I lost mine and you have the color I need. FYI, I don't need permission." She said dropping it back in the bag.

I brushed my hair to get the tangles out. "FYI, touch my shit again without permission and we're gonna have a problem." I told her seriously. She rolled her eyes and sat on my bed as I packed up.

"So I have someone coming over." She said smiling really hard.

I turned around sharply and smirked at her. "And who would this be?" I asked looking at myself in the mirror one last time.

"Aaron! Aaron Truesdale." She said blushing.

"The captain of the ball team at your school?! Oh girl! He's all that and a bag of chips!" I said dapping her.

"Who's all that and a bag of chips?" Shawn asked standing in the doorway.

"None of your business Shawn!" We said simultaneously.

"I heard the name Aaron, so let me know wassup." He said coming closer to us.

"Aaron is coming over for dinner." Brianna told him.

"Friend of yours Kaedi?" Shawn asked.

I rolled my eyes. "No, Shawn, its Brianna's friend." I told him.

He gave her a mean mug. "Better only be a friend or he's gonna have a knuckle sandwich for dinner." Shawn told her.

"Bye Shawn." She told him rolling her eyes.

We all left my room and went downstairs to help our parents set up the table. We have a big group tonight. It's me, Brianna, Shawn, mom, dad, Dino and Aaron. Hopefully all goes well because it has been so far. Me and Brianna finished setting the table as Shawn started bringing dishes out.

"I can't wait to eat!" I said inhaling the food.

"Hell yea! I don't mind gaining a few pounds this Thanksgiving!" Brianna said.

"I hope I can fit into my dress after this." I said grabbing a chicken leg.

Me and Brianna laughed while Shawn shook his head. The doorbell rang and we all looked at each other.

I rolled my eyes "I'll get it." I said heading towards the door.

I opened the door and it was a tall dark skin boy. Light eyes and a really nice smile. He had on dark blue jeans, a plaid button up and church shoes.  "Trying to impress my folks huh?" I thought.

"Hi, I'm Aaron." He said sticking his hand out.

"I would shake your hand but I have chicken grease on them. But it's very nice to meet you, come in." I said moving out of the way.

"You have a nice home." He said looking around nervous.

I laughed a little bit. "Thanks. And you don't have to try to impress me you know. My folks and older brother are the people you have to worry about. I'll let Brianna know that you're here." I told him walking away.

I went to the kitchen and made an announcement. "Aaron is here!" I said throwing my chicken bone away and cleaning up.

"Let's go meet him then." Dad said smirking.

"Be easy on him babe." My mom told him.

We all left the kitchen and met Aaron back in the living room.

"Hi Aaron! This is my mom Mrs.Roberts, my dad Mr.Roberts, my brother Shawn, and you already met my sister Kaedi." Brianna said introducing everyone.

"Nice to meet everyone." Aaron said shaking everybody's hands.

"You can call me Ms.Patricia, sweetie. We're waiting on one more person and we can get started with dinner." My mom told him.

"I heard you can throw down in the kitchen Ms.Patricia." Aaron said and my mom blush.

"Well Brianna is definitely telling the truth. Excuse me though." She said heading back to the kitchen.

"So how did you meet my daughter Aaron?" My dad asked.

"We have some classes together sir." Aaron replied.

My dad nodded his head in response. "What are your intentions with my daughter?" He asked.

"Yea what are your intentions with my sister?" Shawn asked.

Brianna rolled her eyes. "Oh God" she mumbled under the breath.

The door bell rang again and I went to get it. I opened the door and it's Dino! "Took you long enough babe!" I said kissing him.

"Sorry baby girl. We had to help my mom clean everything up at the house. Did y'all start yet?" He asked coming in.

"No, we were waiting on you and they were interrogating Brianna's boo." I told him.

He laughed and shook his head. "Hi Mr.Roberts, Shawn and Bri." Dino said hanging his coat in the closet.

"Hey Dino!" Brianna said hugging him and he hugged her back.

"What's up bro?" Shawn said as they dapped.

My dad and Dino shook hands. "And this is Aaron." Brianna said to Dino.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Kaedi's Fiancé." Dino said.

"Well since everyone is finally here, let's get started with dinner!" My mom said coming back into the living room.

As we were heading into the dining room, the door bell rang again.

"Who could that be?" I asked confused.

"Lets go see." Dino said walking to the door with me.

I opened the door and to my surprise I definitely was not expecting him.

"Abel?" I said confused as to why he was here. As to why he was at my house - on Thanksgiving!

"This definitely isn't going to end good." I thought looking in between Dino and Abel.
