🌙Caleb's Point of View🌙

I debated whether I should tell him or not. It was like every thought was trying to fight its way for attention.

"—You seem really, dead, there." I didn't realise he was talking to me.

"Hm? --- Ow!" A sharp pain rushed through my whole head.

It was throbbing with pain.

"Are you okay?" The first time he ever asked anything so kindly, I was actually amused.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I lied.

"What was it you wanted to tell me before in class?" I swallowed. If I don't tell him, the secret will be locked inside of me forever. If I do tell him, he'll do anything unexpected. Most likely to tell the whole school. Or the first person he would tell would be Jasmine. He's like a box under a Christmas tree waiting to be opened. Full of surprises.

"If I tell you, you'll promise you won't tell anyone?"

"Promise." I heard a little laugh while he said that. Sometimes, I can't trust his promises. Actually I don't think I can at all. He better swear on his life for this one.

I sighed. I was ready. I was ready for him to laugh at me, tease me, maybe even punch me. Anything could happen. But it's also time I let out my feelings for once in my life.

"I... Um" I paused.

"You can tell me, bro. Come on. Don't be a weakling."

That last sentence made me furious.

"Oh shit- I was meant to meet Mr Lindell about my assignment— and I think I have detention. I don't know, I'll see you soon."

I went off. I couldn't do it. I couldn't tell him I liked Jasmine. Because if I ever did, I'll never achieve anything in life. I can't risk it.

Jasmine's Point of View

"How were classes without me?"

"Boring," And that wasn't a lie. I knew it wouldn't be the same without Gale. I looked over to my left and saw Kaitlyn trying to look for somewhere to sit.

"Kaitlyn! Come sit with us." she immediately turned and came walking our way. I looked at Gale and his face was full of confusion, and a bit of rage.

"Gale, this is Kaitlyn, she's— "

"I know."

Kailyn and I looked at each other, confused.

Jealous much.

First day of school wasn't that awful. I made new friends. Maybe this year won't be so bad.
