Cheryl's POV
"Need some help?"
My heart skipped a beat when I heard a husky Northern voice cut in and I couldn't hide me smile as I glanced over me
shoulder. Wow... I was suddenly glad that me locker was so far away from everyone. It was so quite, except me
beating heart.
She stepped closer and carefully took all the crap out from under me arm. I felt so useless. I was just staring at her.
She looked so gorgeous...wearing a black denim skirt and an animal print top, her hair hanging loosely framing her
exotic face.
"Well. Aren't you going to open it?"
"Hmm? ... I -- I don't know..." Bloody hell Cheryl. That was brilliant. I was looking around the corridor, trying to
think of something clever to say when her eyes caught us.
Her eyes looked different color in the light. Grey -- like the color of the sea in the sunlight after rain. They had a
naughty sparkle to them.
"You don't know if you are opening your locker? That could make things difficult" She whispered. sh!t. Her voice
was sexy. "We'd have to stand here all day. Just you and me"
Was she flirting with us? I reached for the back of me neck before I felt for me keys again. Damn. Where ARE they? I
looked at her again. She looked so...I'm running out of words to describe her.
"Uh..." I gulped. Me mouth was dry. Her eyes... "I -- uh -- I don't think I have me keys" I mumbled. Is there a window I can hurl meself out of? No, nothing in sight.
She laughed softly holding her hand to her chest. "We can put this in my car?"
"Car?" I repeated, just lost in the sound of her laugh.
"Yeah, Car, you know the big metallic thing, with four wheels and one steering wheel..?" She acted it out with her
hand and I blushed knowing she was teasing us.
I smiled me goofy smile, scratched the back of me neck, nodded dumbly and followed her outside like a puppy. There
was no need for a leash.
"So this is where you park? I always wonde--" She smirked. sh!t. Why can't I keep me thoughts out of me mouth? She
chuckled. Try thinking without speaking next time Cheryl!
She carefully put me notes in the back of her car and looked at us again, anxiously. She reached up and touched the
side of me face where the bruise was. I felt that pleasant 'electric feeling' again and leaned back a little against the side of her car. Okay, be normal. Try to be normal...
"I missed you..."
"Me too..."
"You look good"
"You too..."
Her eyes were glowing again. "Am I boring you?" She asked playfully, "You don't seem to have much to say, today."
I never have much to say, especially with you...
"I say stupid things around you" She bit on her lip and shook her head slightly.
"You give yourself way too little credit, Cheryl" She hushed. "Let's go. Don't want to be late for your first day back,
do you?"
"I don't care... if I'm with you."
She smiled shyly, "Like I said... way too little credit."
We strolled back slowly. We didn't speak, but we were walking so close together, arms touching as we moved. I loved
the way she felt against us.
Each touch made us shiver and I tried to hide it. I could barely take it anymore. Just before we were at the entrance I
pulled at her hand and I was sure I was going to chew me lip raw.
"I'm sorry... I'm not good at this sort of thing."
"What thing?" She asked, amused.
"This thing" I pulled her in for a kiss and felt that lightheaded warm dizzy feeling at the contact of her soft, full lips.
She seemed surprised at first, blushed intially, but eventually participated in the kiss eagerly.
We broke apart, realizing the need for oxygen. Her lips were red and swollen from kissing. I wanted to kiss them
again, but we had those stupid classes..
She never let go of me hand. "Will you have lunch with me?" Her voice was so beautiful. She could have asked us
to run in front of a bus and I'd have done it happily.
I nodded me head stupidly as I looked down at her and the twinkle in her eyes got richer. "Good. We have time,
remember?" She spoke softly.
"Okay."
I smiled me goofy smile again.
