Kimberley's POV
“Mum, Dad, this is my Cheryl..I mean my friend Cheryl” I stuttered while Cheryl dropped her jaw. Way to go Kimberley.
"Hello Dear.” They seem oblivious to our expressions, are adults always this dumb?
“Hi Mrs. Walsh, Mr. Walsh” She greeted my parents shyly.
"That makes me feel old. Call me Diane dear." My mum chuckled to herself, making Cheryl even more nervous. How do I know? She's scratching the side of her chin genius.
“I thought you were at the movies?”
“We were dad, but it was too boring so we left.”
“I could have told you that from the start and saved you the trouble.”
“Now, now. Not everyone hates foreign movies like you.” My mum chided him playfully.
“True. It used to be Kimberley only, now with Cheryl here they are two.”
“oh, you’re impossible.” My mum chuckled, pushing him upstairs. “We’ll leave you two to what you were doing.”
She didn’t notice the blush on my face at what she had said.
"Actually I was just about to go.” said Cheryl.
“Oh, bye then. Nice to have met you.” My mum said with a warm smile.
"Same here.” Cheryl returned her smile.
Cheryl's POV
“I’ll walk you to your car.” She said as she followed us outside.
We silently walked to me car. I opened the door and turned to her before getting in.
“Um, you want to do something tomorrow afternoon?” I asked. Cheryl, you were all macho while ripping her shirt off, now you are shy? You are impossible. Oh shut up. Why won't you say anything Kimba? Because she doesn't like you anymore. You think so? I know so. I was busy having me internal dialogues with Mr.Brain I almost missed what she said.
“Definitely.” She replied with a huge smile. *Duck* you Mr.Brain.
We stood there for a few seconds, while she fondly stared at us, shyness gently embracing both of us.
“You missed like two buttons there.” She said after a while giggling adorably. Do you even know how cute you are?
My face turned all red as I looked down at me shirt.
“Oh no! I hope your parents didn’t notice.” and I fumbled to button them up.
“You are so cute. I love you so much.” She said, wrapping me arms around her waist and kissing me cheek gently.
Me hands froze and I looked at her wide eyed. She probably just realized what she said, as her face turned to a shade of red I had never seen before. She looked mortified.
"Erm, I mean… um…” she mumbled awkwardly, letting go off us “I-I’ll call you tomorrow.” And she quickly got inside her house and shut the door leaving behind her, a still stunned me.
I slowly turned around and faced her house, looking for some kind of connection with her. Did I hear it right? Did you just say that you love us? No, it must be me imagination or rather, wishful thinking.
"-Uh" You are speaking to nobody Cheryl, she left long back.
I raised me hand to me cheeks as I remembered how she had held us and kissed us. A small smile appeared on me lips. Kimberley had said she loved me. And I had just stood there like an idiot.
I felt like pounding on her door and shouting out 'I love you too' but then decided it would be wiser to wait till tomorrow.
May be I could call her now? No tell her face to face. Yeah that'd be better. Good we agree on something. *Duck* off. You seem to have shut up, thank you brain. Now if only I could get me rapidly beating hard under control too. You are talking to parts of your body, Cheryl you are nuts.
I sighed. Kimberley what do you do to us?
When I got to me house a full grin was now on me face, much to the annoyance of me gayface brother. Like I give a sh!t, nobody can burst this happy little bubble I'm in now.
I fell on the bed with a ridiculous smile plastered all over me face.
This is not the end don't worry
