Kimberley's POV

“I-I don’t believe you.” My voice quivered.

She just slid her arms round my back and slowly started pulling me closer to her. I didn’t try to hold back, as if hypnotised by the chocolatey eyes piercing into mine.

She took my lips in a sweet heartbreaking kiss. I didn’t resist.

Instead I closed my eyes and surrendered to the familiar overwhelming feeling that took over my body whenever she touched me.

I cursed myself for being so weak, but I also knew the emotions were just too strong to ignore. She pulled away and l could feel her staring even through my closed eyes.

When I opened them she looked shocked to see they were filled with tears.

Why do you want to hurt me?” I whispered.

“That’s not what I’m trying to do.” She answered softly, stroking my hair gently.

“Then how do you explain you and Sarah…”

She silenced me with another kiss. When she pulled away this time I melted completely into her embrace. My tears were making her top wet as I laid my head on her chest and sighed softly, easing down on the sobs.

Seeing that I wasn't going to interrupt her this time she started to explain:

“I met Sarah at the coffee shop and told her that you told us you loved us”

I just lowered my eyes but didn’t say anything. She continued: “Then I told her how I felt.”

I snapped my eyes back at Cheryl, but still didn’t say a thing.

“I told her that I loved YOU and she reassured us that she was ok with that” She made sure to emphasize on the word YOU.

I patiently listened on.

“We hugged and she kissed us on the cheek to calm us down cause I was crying. I was relieved that I could tell me best friend how I felt about you.”

She stopped for a second and then softly and tenderly said,

I love you.”
