Kimberley's POV

I really didn't want her to change. But I didn't want her to go out like that either – you never know whose eyes will

wander. She looked so sweet when the suggestion of 'proper' clothes came to mind. I was trying desperately to hold

myself together.

Desperately trying to look at anything except her; And every time I was desperately trying to do something else, my

shameless eyes kept wandering down to her bum.

"So, um, where do you want to go?" I said, trying to get my mind, and my eyes off of that cute little bum.

"Uh. Well, there's a nice park I go to a lot. It's not too far from here..."

"Okay..." I said faintly.

I was a bundle of nerves. Not just because we were actually going somewhere, together; but her car - calling it a 'tin

can' would be modest. I'm surprised she's actually able to get around in it.

It took about fifteen minutes to get there. It was a silent drive, apart from her giving me directions. I could feel her

eyes on me the whole time but I didn't dare look at her. If I did, I'm sure I would have crashed her car and it would

have become a real tin can.

I knew she knew the effect she was having on me, if you wanted to see a size 8 'human' tomato, you just needed a

picture of me in the car with her.

We eventually came to a clearing and had to walk a little way to get to the 'park'. She was right; it was as peaceful as it was beautiful. I was lost for words. I never dreamt that something so stunning and natural could exist in the city.

This place was no park - it was a jungle! The only signs of 'human' life were evident in the black gravelled paths and a

few unused random wooden benches draped in moss. It was quite clear that this place was left to its own accord and

to grow as it pleased.

My eyes tried to take it all in, "Wow, Cheryl, this is unbelievable."

She smiled at me, "I know. But it gets better."

I couldn't imagine how much 'better' it could possibly get, but she led me on one of the gravel paths, that seemed to

snake further into the 'jungle'.

The canopy of branches got thicker as we went on, but it was still quite bright. It wasn't long before I heard what

sounded like a stream, and we stepped out into a small clearing. My gasp was loud and Cheryl chuckled. "I told ya it

gets better."

I walked out a bit further into the clearing and turned around slowly, allowing my eyes to wander over every inch of

this place. Eventually my eyes drifted back to her. She was leaning against a thick tree trunk, smiling, her dimples

doing wonderful things to my body.

"So, what do you think?" she asked hesitantly.

"It's so beautiful. How did you find this place?" I enquired, as I made my way to the huge tree.

"I think actually that it found us," she trailed off. "Derek and I have... we don't get along. And when he was still living

at home, I used to stay away as much as I could. And then I found this place." She said, motioning with bad hand, "I

come here a lot, no distractions, y'know? Jus' trees..."

"Thank you for sharing it with me. It's amazing." She stared at me briefly before looking away. Did I say something

wrong? She looked like she was trying to think of a reply.

"I've never brought anyone here. Not even Sarah" she confessed, while absently picking at a piece of bark from

the tree. My skin started tingling and my breath quickened.

I'm sure I was blushing. Was she saying what I think she was saying?  She looked at me then. She didn't have to say a word; I could see it in her face... Were we always standing this close?

Our lips touched softly then. It felt so natural. I didn't know who-kissed-who first, or how it came about, but I didn't

care. I felt her hand gently stroke my neck and cup my cheek.

She pulled back and watched me as I bit my lip; and then she kissed me again. Slowly. Tentatively. I was standing in

paradise and felt like I'd arrived in heaven. How do you do that? Make me feel like, like...?

"You make me so nervous," she whispered against my lips.

"Me too..."
