We hardly did anything the next day. I think they were still dealing with the teams that cheated on survival week. Evelyn had not found out about Jojo secretly bringing her watch, so we were luckily not among those teams. Evelyn just spent her time pretty much sitting in the cabin on the couch on her computer. I woke up though with the smell of revenge in the air. Something was slithering on my bed. It was scaly and thin. Snakes! I was barely awake, but I screamed in terror.
"For god's sake, Leighanne! What in the world?!" I heard Jojo's startled voice screech from the top bunk.
"Snakes!" I screeched.
"Snakes? For real?" she asked, stepping down the bunk bed.
"Yes, Jojo! Snakes! What don't you get, dingus?!" I shouted.
"Oh my god chill out!" Jojo shouted.
I heard a knock on the door followed by Kenny's voice, shouting, "Hey! What the heck is going on!"
"We got pranked!" Jojo shouted back, "You can come in. It's fine."
The door opened and I saw the boys come in.
"Rubber snakes?" Martin asked confusedly.
"Yes...sorry. I didn't mean to wake you guys," I answered, "I have a huge phobia of snakes."
"Well are you okay now?" Jojo asked. I came to a swift realization of something huge.
"No..." I said.
"What's wrong? Tell us," Martin said.
"How did they know I had a phobia of snakes?" I asked, "The one person in that cabin who knows me best."
"Courtney," Jojo said, narrowing her eyebrows.
"She only targeted me intentionally. That's something she'd do. I don't know why," I said.
"Your bracelet's gone too," Jojo said. I looked on the nightstand where I had left it. It was gone.
"I'm so lost. What now?" I asked, curling into a ball.
"Well, we revenge of course. And I think we should target Courtney. Just like how she targeted you like a jerk! Let's give her a taste of her own medicine," Kenny said.
"That's a good idea," Jojo agreed.
"I think Leighanne should lead it because she knows Courtney the best," Martin said.
"Yeah! That's a great idea! How would you like that?" Jojo asked.
"No," I said without thinking.
"Why?" Jojo asked, sitting on the bed.
"Because she'd kill me," I said.
"Well, you can't just let her push you around whenever she wants. You gotta stick up for yourself. This is your chance!" she said as she patted my back gently, "If you let people make you their stepping stone, you're ultimately not gonna be very happy in life. If you stand up and show them you're more than a stepping stone, they'll walk past you rather than over you."
"I guess," I said, "You're a great motivational speaker, Jojo."
"Thanks, Leighleigh. I try," she answered, smiling, "So, how does that sound to you?"
"Great," I said, smiling and reflecting her famous daredevil grin.
"Then, what's her greatest fear?" Jojo asked, tapping her fingers together.
I smiled widely with a huge daredevil smirk and said, "Spiders and flour."
"Why flour?" Martin asked.
"Her sister poured flour on her once when I was there and she like was choking on it and she got it in her eye," I said, laughing a little bit.
"Ouch. That's weird but good," Jojo said, "Any ideas, Leighleigh?"
I sat up and thought for a minute.
"Is there any way we can get some flour?" I asked.
"I don't know," Jojo answered, "Can anyone think of any places where flour might be?"
"The cafeteria kitchen," Kenny started, "There's no realistic and logical way to get in there, but it's something to keep in mind."
"True," Jojo said, "Normally one would find flour in kitchens or pantries."
"The emergency food," Martin said, "It's worth checking and Evelyn wouldn't notice the difference."
"Better," I said, "The emergency food in cabin six. There should be flour there if there's flour here. If not, we could use baking soda or cornmeal or something."
"I'll go check that," Martin said.
"I think we should also do something related to a spider because she's more afraid of spiders than she is of flour," I said.
"Double prankster. I like it," Jojo said, smiling with her daredevil grin.
"Exactly. And after the flour, she'll expect that to be all, so that will totally not expect that double shot," I added, "I want to make a spider that she'll notice somewhere."
"We could get toilet paper and hang it up so it looks like a spider in her room," Kenny suggested, "We can adjust her alarm clock to wake her up like a few hours before six and it'll still be dark and she'll be drowsy and confused and it will scare her."
"That could work," I said.
"Back to the flour prank," Jojo directed, "We need a way to get flour on her."
"I know how," I said, "Courtney has a pink blow dryer. She brought it with her and I saw it in the bathroom on our cologne and fragrance prank. I'll put the flour in there."
"Great!" Jojo said.
"There's flour here," Martin said, walking back in.
"Perfect," Jojo said, "So Kenny and Martin and will make the spider. Leighanne will flour the blow dryer and reset the alarm clock. I will keep watch to make sure no one wakes up."
"Let's do it!" I said, clapping my hands.
"Tonight?" Martin said.
"Sure," I said, smiling.
