Twenty One

It was dinnertime, two days after we got pranked. We were gonna go prank Courtney's cabin tomorrow night. Jojo had told me I should be more cheeky and sassy with Courtney. She suggested that I walk by her more, look at her more, and try annoying her in a subtle and unobvious way. She said those things would really get to her. I agreed. So I spent that evening at dinner trying to be cheeky. I got myself some mashed potatoes that were beginning to taste a bit better and a grilled cheese sandwhich. As I left the line, I walked briskly past the other tables and slowed down by Courtney's table. She looked up at me confusedly for a minute. I screwed up my face, trying to look like I was smelling something gross, and walked on.
"Good move," Jojo said quietly, as I sat down. I nodded.
"Pretend like you're talking to me about Courtney," I said, I'll point to her and you and I should laugh every time we point at her."
"Alright," Jojo said.
We both leaned in closely and mumbled nonsense. I motioned to Courtney briefly and Jojo giggled. Courtney looked confused for a minute and kept eating. I glanced back and fourth between my food and Courtney. She finally looked at me and I Jojo fake snickered as Courtney made an angry eye contact with me. I smirked and ate more grilled cheese. The ice cream dessert bar finally opened and I noticed Courtney walked over to the bar, got some chocolate ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, and was talking quietly with her cabin mates. I got up with my empty trey and walked to the trash briskly, slowing down by Courtney's table.
"We are gonna prank them tonight, remember?" Courtney said quietly.
"Yeah, I know but why?" Lizzie asked. I halted next to the table and locked eyes on her ice cream bowl.
"I'm sick of the suspense," Courtney replied and looked up at me, "Eavesdropping much, Parker?"
I locked my eyes on her ice cream for a half second. "Ew," I said, and walked off before she could react. I was about to giggle a little bit, but my heart beat instead. She was gonna prank us. Tonight. I wasn't about to let that happen. I tossed my tray in the trash and walked back to our table.
"We are gonna have to have to make a new plan," I said quietly, "They are gonna prank us tonight. I eavesdropped on them. Courtney's quote on quote 'sick of the suspense' but I think she also wants to surprise us."
"We have to do something. Thank you, Leighleigh. We now have the upper hand so we have to decide how to use it," Jojo said, "Ideas?"
"We will talk about this in a more private area," I said quietly.
"Right," Jojo agreed. We finished dessert and went back to our cabin.
"So, ideas?" Jojo asked.
