"See you tomorrow, Hailey." I called across the school car park.
"See you, Skye." She replied. My best friend, Natalie sat down in the back of the car beside me. "Remind me again who's going on this silly walk tomorrow." She said.
"I'll tell you if you stop complaining about it." I told her.
"Fine. Continue." Natalie replied.
"There will be me, you, Hailey, Luke and a boy that Luke is bringing who I might know, apparently. It's not silly, either. We'll be going along the-"
"Kiandra heritage track. I know. You've said it a thousand times. The fact that it will just be us and you've never walked on this track, really doesn't boost my confidence." Natalie interrupted.
" In all fairness, Natalie, Skye has been to the national park before and this is an easy track to walk on and because it's Spring, the flowers will be blooming and all the young wildlife will be near you so the experience should be amazing, providing Hailey isn't choosing to be accident prone." Mum clarified. Natalie nodded and the car ride was silent until we got to her house.

Natalie's two younger sisters ran up to me. Jane (the 12yr old) asked if she could replace Natalie on the walk. "NO!" Natalie screamed.
"Well, you don't even want to go so I can't see what the problem is." Jane replied.
"The problem is, you idiot, that I'm happy to go and you wouldn't last five minutes on the track." Natalie argued. "Why wouldn't she?" Sophia (Natalie's 8yr old sister) asked.
"Because like you, she wouldn't last that long without internet. In fact Skye actually made it a rule that you can only bring your phone to take photos or for a real emergency." Natalie argued. "Why don't we see what she thinks." Jane said.
"How about we don't know what she thinks because she doesn't want to get involved." I urged.
"Fine. Thanks Skye. I'll see you tomorrow then." Natalie said to me in a rude way then stormed out of the car.
