I walked along in front and saw Natalie trailing along far behind me and the others. We'd only been walking for fifteen minutes and the track is just 1km but it was very hot and around us were grassy hills and plains. A small tree stood creating shade. "How about we stop here for a snack." I suggested. Without a word, we sat down under the tree and grabbed out our lunch. I packed an apple and some biscuits for everyone. I listened off into the distance as everyone talked among themselves. The sound of wildlife filled the light air breeze. A familiar sound of horses came flying through the sky too. I looked up over a hill. "Isn't that right, Skye?" Luke asked leading me into a conversation with him and Jonathan. I didn't listen to him. A black figure moved through the bush followed by two other figures. One was a dark brown colour. The other was a small black figure. "Skye?" Luke questioned. "Natalie, did you bring those binoculars?" I asked. She looked at me with a shocked face then a sorry look grew on her. "I bought some." Hailey exclaimed. She pulled them out of her bag and passed them to me. I held them to my face and looked at the moving figures. They were brumbies but I could only see two. One was a dark brown mare. The other was a young, jet black foal. It wasn't very little but I knew it was young. I put the binoculars down to see that only a few hundred metres away was a jet black stallion, charging towards us.
