"Are you set for this weekend?" Mum called from the hallway.
"Yes mum!" I replied. I'd organised a camping trip with Luke, Hailey and Jonathan for the weekend. Natalie was invited but was going to Darwin for a family holiday. Besides, she hates camping so it wouldn't have mattered to her. We picked up Hailey and met the boys at the national park. We were going to camp near the Kiandra track but further into a bush area so we're more protected. "Remind me again why I came." Hailey said.
"Because I did my pulled my Lighting Rose trick on you." I answered.
"Oh yeah. I can't believe you did that. You've only ever done it once before." Hailey pointed out.
"That just shows how much I needed you." I replied. She smiled at me, thoughtfully. I saw fresh horse droppings. I dropped my bag and grabbed out some throw away gloves. "Oh, no. I wonder what this bright idea will be." Luke moaned. I ignored him and put the gloves on. Jonathan decided to speak. "Are you going to-"
"Shush Jonathan." I interrupted. He rolled his eyes and shrugged. I picked the poo. It was fresh. "Skye! Horse footprints!" Hailey called. I ran over to find a lot of footprints. They were all shoeless. Dirt had been kicked off the ground. "Stay here. I won't be long. I'm just going to check something." I told them. I walked further into the bush to see a small stream.
