"Sure." He answered. Luke frowned and walked away.
"When I went looking, I didn't just find the business card. I also found this." I told him, pulling the book from under my jumper. "What is that?" He questioned.
"I believe it's your old journal." I replied.
"What?!" He exclaimed. "Did you read it?" He continued. I looked at my feet then nodded slowly. His jaw seemed to drop to his ankles. "What part?" He asked."One entry from a long time ago and... One from when we first met." I answered.
"Why would you do that?!" He yelled.
"I'm sorry. I didn't even know it was yours. I didn't know it would make you mad. Please forgive me." I begged. He snatched the book from my hands and then left. I stood there and hoped he was joking but he then began packing up his tent. I sighed. I finished packing my tent when mum came. We carried our bags to the car and hopped in. I didn't talk until we got home to my place. I only said bye to the others. I got out of the car and got my bag then went into my house. I went to my room and grabbed some clothes so I could have a shower. After coming out of the shower I got changed and logged into the computer at my desk. I logged onto the computer and looked up the website on the business card. "What happened?" Mum asked, noticing something was wrong. I sighed and told her the story about Kiandra and the brumby catching, basically everything except for Jonathan's book. She seemed really mad at me with a few things but agreed with me on the others. When I was done she seemed to be almost speechless. "You did a lot of really stupid things in one camp." Mum said. "But you are my daughter and you did these things for a true and passionate reason." She continued. "So I'll help you."
I couldn't believe what she just said but she meant it! I gave her a massive hug. "Come on. Let's see where we can find your brumbies." Mum said. I nodded and turned back to my computer. The website eventually led to brumby associations and auction groups. I went back to the original site and looked for a phone number. "Can I ring them?" I asked mum.
She shrugged. "What are you planning on saying?" She questioned. I explained my plan to her and waited for her approval. She nodded and gave me her phone.
