I walked into school the next morning, exhausted. I had been up until 1am, finishing up one of the stories I was writing. I loved books, and writing books. They taught us so much, way more than school could ever teach us. We live and breathe words, as I had always said.

I walked up to my locker, and smiled at Clary. Her bright red hair was in a braid, and she was wearing a hoodie, jeans, and white converse.

"Hey." She grinned. "You look exhausted."

I sighed. "I am. I was up all last night finishing my story."

"Me too. I couldn't stop drawing last night. It was crazy." Clary said.

The bell rang, and my heart jumped. I had History with Will. I walked into the classroom and took my seat. Cecily sat in front of me, and while I sat down, she turned to face me.

"Hey, you and Clary and your friend Simon should come sit with us at lunch." She said.

I was dumbfounded. She wanted us to sit with them?

"Sure." I smiled.

She flashed a smile at me, and then turned around. I was about to text Clary the news, but I got distracted. Will had walked in, looking beautiful as ever. He shot a grin at his sister, and took his seat. I sighed, he was so good looking. Class started, and I sat there boredly.

"We will be starting a new project." Mrs. Miller said. "In partners, I want you all to pick an era, and make a presentation about the pros and cons of it. The partners must be a boy and girl. Pick your partners, you have the rest of class to work on your presentations."

I internally groaned. Really? That was the stupidest rule ever. I sluggishly got up, and suddenly, someone was standing beside my desk. I looked up, to see Will. He was smirking at me, and I felt my insides turn to mush.

"Do you wanna be my partner, babe?" He smirked.

"Don't call me babe." I stated, but my mind was buzzing.

He wanted me to be his partner?

"I can't do that, babe." Will smirked devilishly. "So, what do you say?"

I was silent for a moment. "Fine."

He grinned, and sat down in the desk beside me. I was having a heart attack. Will Herondale had asked me to be his partner. I was getting really lucky these days.

"So, what should we do it on?" I started.

"Let's do the Victorian era." He suggested.

I smiled, I was going to suggest that. "Okay."

Will and I then brainstormed ideas for the rest of class. He was actually pretty smart, and he made me laugh the entire time. I knew that he was like this with girl, but I couldn't help but blush every time he smiled at me. After class, we both had gym, which Will actually showed up to. As soon as I saw her, I told Clary about Cecily inviting us to sit with them at lunch.

"Really?!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah! And today in History, Will asked me to be his partner for this project we're doing." I said happily.

"Oh my gosh! That's huge!" Clary smiled.

I giggled, and blushed. Gym went by quickly. Will and I didn't talk, but we smiled at each other a few times. Soon, I was sitting at his lunch table, Simon and Clary on either of my sides. Tatiana was all over Will, and I tried to ignore it. They were all pretty nice, well except for Tatiana. She had raised her eyebrow at me when I had walked to their table, as if I hadn't been good enough for her.
