That Monday, we all sat in the cafeteria at lunch. My aunt kept smirking all day after she saw Will and I, and it had been horrible. That was probably one of the most embarrassing moments of my life. My aunt had invited everyone's family over for tonight, and I was really excited. Currently, we were all telling stories of our childhood.
"I don't know if you guys know this, but Jace and I are married." Cecily laughed.
Jace grinned amusedly. "I remember that."
"What?" Isabelle asked, entertained.
"When we had been four, Jace and I got married. We were still too young to understand that we were family, so we decided to get married. We invited all of our families, and had the wedding in my living room." Cecily laughed. "I remember I dressed up in one of my princess dresses, and Jace had worn his dad's bow tie."
"I remember that." Will said. "You two made me be the flower boy. Against my will, if I may add." He looked amused.
"And then you kissed my cheek at the end." Jace laughed at Cecily.
We chuckled, but Cecily, Will, and Jace looked particularly amused.
"I'll never forget that." Cecily laughed.
"That's so cute." Clary grinned.
I smiled. "Yeah."
As we all laughed, two boys and a girl walked past our table. The girl hair her dyed sky blue, and was laughing at the first boy. The first boy had his hair dyed pea green, and he was looking at the second boy, annoyed. The last boy, was the most memorable. He had blank hair that was spiked up in weird angles, and he was wearing, to my surprise, dark eyeliner. He was wearing a purple shirt, and black jeans.
"Hello, Alexander." He mused, looking at Alec.
Alec turned as red as a tomato. "H-hey."
"Saturday was fun." He grinned, and then walked away with his friends.
We all stared at him. It was Cecily who spoke first.
"Okay, who the hell was that?" She demanded.
"The green haired boy was Ragnor Fell, and the girl was Catarina Loss. The other guy was Magnus Bane." Alec mumbled.
"Wait, I thought you were sick on Saturday?" Clary frowned. "That's why you didn't sleep over at Will and Cecily's."
He blushed embarrassedly. "I was, um, hanging out with Magnus."
I looked over at Isabelle, who was oddly quiet. She must have knew, I thought to myself. I felt bad for Alec, he obviously didn't want us knowing.
"It's okay, it's not a big deal." I smiled at him.
He smiled gratefully at me, and then Isabelle quickly changed the subject.
"I'm excited for tonight." Isabelle smiled.
"Me too." I agreed, and Will shot me a smirk.
I blushed, and shook my head at him. Tonight, I would not touch him. I was trying to see if I could go a night without us touching. I knew that I would fail, but I wanted to try. The bell then rang, and we all made our way to our classes. Will and I walked together to Chemistry. We walked and took our seats, and we talked.
"I have vowed that I'm not going to touch you tonight." I announced.
He raised an eyebrow. "Why exactly?"
"We've been having sex too much, it's unhealthy." I said.
Will smirked. "Sex is never unhealthy."
"Still," I continued. "I'm going to try."
"Good luck with that." He smirked. "That still means I can touch you, though."
I flushed. "Fine, I guess."
Will grinned at me, his blue eyes twinkling. I only blushed and looked away from him. The rest of the day went by quickly, and soon enough I was driving home. When I walked in, the smell of food was filling the house. I walked into the kitchen, to see that aunt Harriet had about a million pots and pans everywhere. I chuckled and sat down at the island.
"You know, you don't have to make that much food." I said amusedly.
"Yes, I do." She said, frazzled. "There's a lot of people coming tonight."
She then stopped, and smirked at me. I cringed, already knowing what she was going to talk about.
"Will, will be here tonight." She smirked.
"I'm aware." My voice was uneven.
"I can't believe I walked in on that." She looked amused, but then became serious. "But I hope you two haven't done anything, Tessie."
"Of course not." Oh dear lord.
She smirked again. "So, are you two dating?"
I fumbled with words for a moment. "It's-it's complicated."
"Ah." Aunt Harriet said.
"Yeah." This was getting more awkward by the minute.
"Well, he's a very good looking boy." She smirked, and I only blushed and nodded.
"Edmund used to be just like that, and Jace's father, Stephen. Though, Will looks just like Linette, and Cecily does too." She said, smiling a bit. "All the girls had a huge crush on Edmund and Stephen."
"Did you?" I asked curiously.
She shook her head. "No, though Celine, Jocelyn, Linette, and Maryse were my best friends, and they did. Jocelyn and Maryse not so much, but Linette and Cèline were in love with them. I remember when Celine started Stephen, and Linette started dating Edmund." She laughed. "They had been ecstatic."
"You're mother had been best friends with us, as well. Her and Edmund had been good friends." Aunt Harriet said sadly. "I miss her."
I didn't really miss my parents, because I never got to know them, but for aunt Harriet is was different. That was her sister.
"Oh! That reminds me." Aunt Harriet said.
She then left the kitchen for a few minutes, and returned with a box. She handed it to me, and I opened it. It was a necklace. It was a silver chain, with an angel pendant in the very centre. It was beautiful.
"It's beautiful." I breathed.
"It was your mother's." She smiled softly. "I gave it to her on seventeenth birthday, the same age as you are now. I thought you should you have it."
I put on the necklace, and aunt Harriet walked over and smiled, while pushing a strand of my brown hair behind my hair.
"You look just like her." She smiled.
I only smiled, and hugged her. I was so lucky to have her in my life.
