I woke up, bolting upright. Sweat was dripping down my neck and I was panting, and a tear was on my cheek. Thank god that was just a dream, because that hurt like hell. My heart still ached, and I wiped my face and neck. I got up and out of bed, rubbing my eyes. I just needed to make sure it wasn't real, and I would be ok. I walked into the kitchen and found a warm mug of coffee waiting for me.

"It lives!" Jacie said, raising her hands up as if she were lifting something and thrusting it into the air.

I smiled and took a sip of my coffee.

"Say, you haven't been slobber-swapping with Gabe lately, have you?" I asked, raising my mug for another sip.

The color drained out of her face and she put down her mug.

"Oh Toby, I thought you knew," she said very seriously.

I did a spit-take and got coffee all over my pants and bare chest.

"I thought you knew you are the only person I know that's insane enough to ask stuff like that," she said, grinning from ear to ear.

I wiped my mouth and walked over, wiping some coffee on her. "Hey," she said, putting up her hands in defiance. I smiled and went back to the counter in the kitchen.

"Sorry, just a dream I had, making sure it didn't really happen," I apologized.

She raised an eyebrow and gave me a strange look. Gabe walked in and looked from me to her. He just rolled his eyes and sat down next to Jacie. Damn you, Gabe. She smiled at him and finished her coffee. I looked at Gabe as his gaze followed her to the kitchen.

"Hey, Jacilic, can I get a t-shirt?" he asked casually, leaning back on the couch.

She stopped dead in her tracks and turned around.

"How did you know?" she asked slowly.

He shrugged. "I've seen some of your videos. They're not half bad," he replied.

She looked over to me, her eyes full of worry.

"Do you know too?" she asked. I nodded and drained my coffee, looking up at her.

"Dammit, I'm so sorry, Toby. I didn't wanna tell you because I was afraid you would think I was a total loser and leave me with one less friend," she said looking down.

I put my finger und her chin and made her look up.

"Hey, it's fine, I'm a YouTube Partner too. See? That's just something else we have in common," I assured her.

She smiled and walked over to the couch, sitting down. Gabe smiled at her and glanced at me when she wasn't looking. He knows I have feelings for her, and he just wants to rub in my face that he probably has a better chance. Good thing is he doesn't know about when Jacie kissed me, so I actually have a fair chance.

"So, what do you wanna talk about?" he asked.

I rolled my eyes and walked into my room to get dressed. I pulled on a Tobuscus shirt and some shorts. When I walked back out Gabe was sitting a little closer to Jacie.

"Hey, there's a pool party at my friend's place, and you can come if you want," he said, raising his eyebrows.

She nodded and looked up at me.

"Toby, you wanna come? It'll be fun," she said, her eyes filled with excitement. Gabe rolled his eyes.

"Yeah, I'll come," I said, running my hand through my hair.

She got up and ran out to get dressed. I changed into my swimming trunks and waited for Jacie outside of her door. She came out in a black and silver bikini top and shorts with some sandals. She looked really pretty, and I wish I could tell her, but Gabe walked out in just his trunks. Dammit.

"Let's get going," she said, heading out to the parking lot.

I followed close behind to Gabe's car. I hopped in the front passenger, forcing Jacie to sit in the back. Gabe gave me a hard look as he got in. We drove for a while, not saying much. Jacie just stared out the window until we pulled in front of a brick house. She was the first to hop out, not even waiting for us. She quickly stripped out of her shorts and sandals, racing to the back. I ran after her, hopping over a low gate. I was just in time to see her run and dive straight into the pool without explaining who she was and why she was there. I laughed as she came to the surface, smiling. Gabe rushed up behind me and looked around. A guy with dark brown hair and a nice tan walked up. He was built like Gabe, and they shook hands.

"Trey, this is my friend Toby, and over there is my friend Jacie," he said, introducing me.

I shook Trey's hand and waited as Jacie to get out of the water. She shook Trey's hand and turned to me.

"Come on, Toby! It's fun," she said, tugging me to the pool.

"Hey you see that?" I asked, pointing to the bottom of the deep end.

She squinted and stepped closer until her toes were gripping the edge.

"See what?" she asked. I pushed her in and laughed as she came came back up, spluttering.

"No fair! Now help me out," she said.

I held out my hand and she yanked on it, dragging me in after her. Water went up my nose as I came back up to the surface.

"Oh great, now my shirt's soaked," I teased, splashing her. She splashed back and stuck out her tongue.

I peeled off my shirt and threw it somewhere to the side. I got out and got on the diving board, running off and doing a cannon ball. We spent the rest of the time doing dives and cannon balls and other stuff off of the diving board. Gabe was always trying to talk to her, and he eventually snatched her up and talked to her while they sat on a towel together. The sight made me sick, so I went inside for a drink. I eventually got bored with that and went back out to find Jacie. She wasn't on the towel, and neither was Gabe, so I asked Trey.

"Oh, they went to the car to leave. They're just waiting for you," he said.

I nodded and grabbed my t-shirt, making my way back to the car. I froze in my tracks. Gabe had Jacie pressed against the car. He was kissing her.
