Oh my god, Drake, I had almost forgotten about her. But no, you had to bring her up. Fuck you.

"I don't like to talk about her. I had almost forgotten about her until Drake here busted in," I muttered.

Drake shrugged.

"She's my sister too. I can't help it. I thought you would want to know she's in jail," he said.

I couldn't help it. I smirked, trying to hide my smile.

"It's where she deserves to be," I said bitterly.

Toby ran his hand through his hair.

"Okay, two things is all I want to know. One, is there anyone else you forgot to mention?" he asked.

I shook my head. I tend to forget to tell people about my siblings. I see them so rarely, their more like cousins.

"Okay. Two, why would she deserve to be there?" he asked.

"It's a long story. I'll tell you later. Drake, why is this so important?" I asked.

"Because she wants to see you," he said.

"After all of these years, she chooses when she's in jail," I muttered.

I walked into my room and changed into one of my Jacilic t-shirts. I pulled on some dark skinny jeans and my awesome knee-high tennis shoes. They were my favorite, and I wore them all the time. They were black with a silver flame running up the sides. I came back out and grabbed my wallet.

"Let's roll," I said, walking out to the parking lot.

I hopped into Toby's car and waited for them to get in. I sat with my arms crossed and stared out the window the whole way there. I stepped out of the car and stormed in when we got there. I went through security and marched in. I stood in the visiting area and looked around. I spotted her at a table, same as the last time I saw her. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and a spray tan. She looked up when I sat down in front of her.

"Well, I came. So what did you want?" I asked.

"Can't a girl want to see her sister? Listen, I know I wasn't there for most of your life, and I know I was a horrible sister, but that's why I wanted you to come. I'm sorry, Jacelynne," she said.

Tears welled up in her eyes. I sighed.

"I know you were a terrible sister, and I'm sorry, but you have to understand, it's hard for me to forgive you," I said icily.

Drake walked p behind me and put his hands on my shoulders.

"C'mon, sis. She said she's sorry," he said.

Toby sat next to me.

"Who's this?" Lila asked, raising an eyebrow.

"My boyfriend. Toby, this is Lila. Can we go now?" I asked.

Toby put his arm around my shoulder.

"Come on, she said sorry. She's your sister. Give her a break," he said.

I stood up and glared at her.

"If she really was my sister she would've been there for me, she would've actually acknowledged I existed, and she sure as hell would've bothered to remember my name at my thirteenth birthday," I spat, walking away.

"Jacie, wait," Toby called, getting up after me.

I walked faster. I stepped into the women's room and leaned over the counter. I looked in the mirror and felt an angry tear burn a path down my cheek. I wiped it from my face and pulled myself together.

"Jacie, come out," Toby pleaded through the door.

"No, go away," I said.

I sighed and fixed my shirt. I heard the door swing open and I turned.

"Toby, what are you doing?!" I squealed.

He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. He carried me back out and sat me in front of Lila.

"Listen, I know you don't like it, but face it. She's your sister. And whether you'll admit it or not, you care about her. Deep, deep, deep, deepdeep down, you care about her. Just forgive her and we can leave. And you have to mean it," he said.

"Fine. Look, I'm sorry, but you have to understand. I forgive you, honestly, but it just may not seem like it. It's tough for me, okay?" I said.

She leaned over the table and hugged me.

"I love you, sis," she said tearfully.

I hugged her back.

"Love you too. Can we go now? I hate prison," I said.

Toby nodded and we left. We sat in awkward silence the car ride home. Drake said goodbye in the parking lot and left. I walked all the way up to my apartment, and that's when Toby couldn't stand it anymore.

"What did she do that was so horrible? I want an answer, now," he demanded.

"Fine, I'll tell you, but I ain't gonna like it," I said.
