Harry Potter: The Aftershow

Saturday

It was Saturday and our first week of classes was officially complete! Yay! Okay, I admit - I wasn't to excited about coming to Hogwarts - but I have to admit that I love it here! Me and Aliria have spent alot of time together in the last week and I could probably call her and Teddy my best friends! They also became very close as well! I hung out alot with James, Lily and Albus - they were awesome and so funny! I talk to Rose and we sit together in Potions everyday. She's a complete sweetheart and is so extremely smart but she seems so lonely. And whenever I talk to her in the corridors, people give me strange looks! I don't know why! Hugo and I get along pretty well - we don't talk as much but he's very gentle and calm. Scorpius and I really don't talk that much....but when we do - I always say the wrong things and he snaps at me and stalks off.....I'm getting tired of trying to be his friend honestly. He's really good looking and maybe he just needs to become more comfortable talking to me but I have no idea. I went to the common room and found Teddy lying across the couch, snoring away with a book led page down on his chest. I found myself laughing. There was nobody here except for the two of us so I decided to have a little fun! I ran over and vaulted over the back of the couch at top speed, landing on Teddy's stomach. "REVEILLEZ-VOUS" I screamed - but then remembered that Teddy doesn't speak any French "WAKE UP" I screamed in English. The combination of my screaming and my jumping on him - caused him to fall off the couch, bringing me down with him. I found myself laughing hysterically at the shocked look on his face but then his face cracked into a smile and he joined me in his laughing fit. After we had calmed down, he stood and reached down, taking my hand and pulling me to my feet. I grinned "Merci beaucoup!" He smiled "Your welcome" I was walking around to where I accidentally left my book on the coffee table last night when I felt a pair of strong, tanned arms wrap around me and lift me off my feet "GOTCHA" He shouted. "Really Ted? That's all you've got?" I heard him laugh as he walked to the door of the common room. He pulled the door open and walked out. Good thing I was dressed already. I had decided on a pair of peachy-pink skinny jeans with a white cotton tank top and a pair of white canvas shoes. My hair was wavy as usual and I was wearing barely any makeup. Everyone watched as we made our way to breakfast. People had started asking us if we were dating - we always just began laughing like crazy - because neither of us liked each other in that way! We're just really close to each other. Since that first night - we've basically told each other everything about each other - like he knows that my favorite holiday is Christmas even though I have no one at home to celebrate with and I know that his favorite color is orange (Soft like a sunset!) He carried me over his shoulder into the Great Hall and placed me on a bench "Was that really neccessary?" He laughed at me in reply. He tried to ruffle my hair but I slapped his hand away. We both waved to Aliria who was at the Gryffindor table - she waved back and we all finished eating. Aliria got up and walked over to us "So what are we doing today?" Teddy slipped an arm around each of our shoulders, causing Al (Aliria) to blush like crazy. Teddy didn't notice. "Anything you lovely girls would like!" Teddy spoke grinning at us from ear to ear. Suddenly, I was pulled into a pair of warm arms. I pulled back "James!" He grinned, standing behind him was Albus and Hugo. I smiled "Bonjour boys!" Albus blushed and looked at the floor while Hugo, being the tall muscley but still quiet boy he was - wasn't expecting me to pull him into a hug and kiss both his cheeks. He turned firetruck red and Albus had the same reaction. I giggled a little and introduced Al and Jamie (James) who hadn't met each other yet! Jamie instantly started flirting with her and complimenting her and she did it right back - which seemed to surprise him at first but then he smirked and made it into more of a competition. "So, I guess we're all trainer ensemble aujourd'hui" All eyes landed on me - I blushed and Al spoke up before I could "She means - 'So, I guess we're all hanging out together today?'" I nodded at her "Sorry guys, I keep forgetting that only Al speaks French..." Jamie laughed and squeezed my shoulder in reassurance "It's fine B!" We all walked out and wandered around the castle a little and when we passed the library we ran into Rose and Lily and they joined us. We walked into a corridor that had glass walls and let all the light in - all the other students were outside. Scorpius was walking passed while I was joking with James and Rose. I was in the middle of my sentence "Yeah - it was-" James cut me off, calling out to Scorpius "Hey stranger! Come hang out with us! you look lonely." His eyes skipped over me and looked at the group which included James, Lily, Hugo, Albus, Rose, Aliria and Teddy. I frowned at my lap and went silent as he walked over. Everyone greeted him but I just looked down. "Hey Beth?" I looked up "Oui?" Scorpius was looking at me nervously. I bit my lip which caused him to clench his jaw "Could I - Could we talk alone for a minute?" I slowly nodded in confusion and stood and walked down to a more secluded corridor with him. I paused, staying silent and watched him - waiting for him to start talking. He was taking deep breaths like he was nervous and was trying to calm down. I place a hand on his shoulder "Hey...are you okay? Are you not feeling well." His eyes watered a little but he blinked it back "No - I just...I wanted to apologize - for, how i've been acting! I've been acting like a bloody git... and I'm sorry okay?" I nodded "But- do you mind telling me why you've been actiing like un trou du cul" At his blank look, I added "An asshole.." He blushed and ruffled his messy, platinum blonde hair. "Uh" He stuttered. "Well...When I first saw you...I thought you were the most beautiful and delicate looking girl I have ever seen...I don't usually think of people that way...so I was a little shocked and so when you sat with us and got to know all of us on the train - I really wanted you to be in Slytherin because we could hang out all the time and stuff....but then I think you realized I was lying about my bruises and how I got them...I can't tell you how though okay?" He looked a little desperate. I found myself nodding anyway. "Anyways, the point is - I'm just not used to this feeling...I don't know what it is yet and it kind of terrifies me" He trailed off. "We can take it slow I said gently... I like Scorpius - despite you being a bloody git...I know you're a great person...I've always been a good judge of character and I can tell you that your an amazing person. I can also tell that something is holding you back from completely trusting me - I don't know what that thing is but I intend to get you to trust me...no matter what it takes" I brushed a hand against his cheek as a ghost of a smile lit up his face. "Maybe we should head back to the others?" I nodded and replied with "Oui nous devrions" He nodded vaguely understanding and led me back to the others. When we got back we all relaxed and just hung out and joked around. It was great.
