Author's Note:
Hi everyone! Here is another heart pounding story based on true to life story. But, there are some scenes that are fictional. Hope you get goosebumps here. Hehehehe
CAMP SCARE
February 20 of my fourteenth year…
“Aira, are you going to the girl scout camp tomorrow?” my friend asked me with enthusiasm.
“Of course, I am. I won’t miss the chance to go to a camp once in my life time,” I said while fixing my things on my locker.
“Hooray! I will have a company!” Ericka is a really close friend of mine and she is my bestfriend. Her full name is Ericka Mariz Cayetano.
On the other hand, I’m Aira Mae Pangilinan. I’m just your typical girl; a grade seven student with straight long dark brown hair which matches her dark brown eyes. This will be my first time joining a camp. I’m a girl scout by the way. We are having our camp at a university near our school for two days and one night only but it still makes me excited.
“Baby, don’t forget to apply mosquito repellant before you go to sleep, okay?” my mom dropped me to school before she go to work.
“Yes, mom,” I said while I put my big bag pack on my back.
“Don’t stay up too late.”
“Yes, mom.”
“I already asked your teachers to look after you so obey them, okay?”
“Mom, I know what to do. You don’t have to be so worried.”
“Okay, baby. I’m going now,” then she kissed me on my cheeks.
“Bye, mom. Take care.” I waved at her until her image looks smaller and smaller.
“Aira, you sure brought a lot,” Ericka’s pertaining to my big back pack.
“Yeah. Mom insisted to bring these with me,” I dropped my heavy bag in one corner of the room.
“Did you bring snacks?” she asked me with her big round shining eyes flashing in front of me.
“Yes and I didn’t forget to bring your favorite Piatos.” Piatos is her favorite junkfood.
“Yehey!! You really are the best!” then she hugged me.
“Good morning, cute girls,” our instructor flashed a smile on us in the morning ceremony.
“Good morning, Mrs. Gabriel,” we said with an enthusiastic smile and a little chuckle.
“Welcome to the Grade Seven Girl Scout Camp. As you all know, this will be an all-girl camp but we invited a senior boy scout. Mr. Ramirez, please come forward.”
We saw a manly figure walking straight to the front. The girls around me keep on giggling and saying trivial things.
“He is Mr. Joshua Ramirez, a sophomore from St. Peter High School. He will assist and teach you the necessary things you should know as a scout.”
“Good morning, ladies. I wish we could get along well,” then he smiled showing his two dimples.
“Kyaaaaaaahhhhh!!!” I think my eardrums will explode due to these girls deadly screams. They were totally insane going head over hills on him even though they just saw him now.
“Girls! Girls! Quiet down!” Thanks to Mrs. Servania my eardrums are saved. She is our other instructor.
“So let’s start the first activity.”
