15.Accidents

I had tears rushing down my cheeks. I didn't care where I was going, as long as it was far away from Damon

I took off my shoes when I got to the road and held them in my hands and started running down the street.

I ended up in Central Park sitting by the fountain and just staring off into space. There were barely any people there so that was good. Cause I didn't want anyone to see me balling my eyes out

After about ten minutes I felt a hand on my back. I looked up to see Aaron

"Hey, are you okay?" He asked sitting next to me

"You were right.. Damon is trying to open the tomb and he wants Katherine back" I said wiping the tears from my cheeks

"And your upset because you thought he loved you and cared about you enough that he didn't care about Katherine anymore" he said

I paused

"How did you know?" I asked looking at him

"It wasn't hard to tell. I mean you and Damon obviously have feelings for each other, even if the rest of the world thinks you two are brother and sister, and since you do have feelings for him then it wouldn't be surprising if you were upset about this"

I looked at the ground

"Well I am upset about it and I'm also angry at him. I just can't believe he still cares about her. She used him and Stefan" I said

He put an arm around me

"I'm sorry... But I know that you will get threw this... You always do" he said smiling at me

I smiled back and put my head on his shoulder

"We better start heading over to the party. I don't really want to Caroline's mad side" Aaron said

I then put on my shoes then got up and started heading towards his car

I heard someone coming out of the woods.

I turned around to see a vampire coming me. It sunk its fangs into my neck

I tried getting him off of me but he wouldn't budge

Aaron was about to help me but he got knocked out by another guy

I was becoming desperate. I had to do something quick before this vampire killed me. So I snapped his neck. I felt my wound on my neck and it was bleeding badly.

The other vampire came at me but I used magic to lift him in the air then smack him on the concrete, it knocked him out

I rushed over to Aaron and looked at him. He didn't have any wounds except for a cut on his forehead but it wasn't bad

I knew that the vampires would soon heal and wake up so I pulled out my phone and called Stefan

"Hello" Stefan said answering the phone

"Stefan! I need you fast. Two vampires attacked me and Aaron and Aaron's knocked out and so are the vampires but they won't be for long" I said

"Okay where are you" he asked

"I'm at Central Park"

"I'll be there as fast as I can" he said then hung up

I checked Aaron's pulse and he was still alive. I held his hand waiting for him to wake up

"Come one Aaron, hurry. Wake up" I said

I was holding my neck so the blood wouldn't get on my dress. And if any blood did get on my dress, then I would instantly kill these two stupid vampires

I heard a moaning coming from one of the vampires and knew that they were healed and that they wouldn't be happy

"Well I'm sorry little missy. But you deserve this"

I looked back only to see the vampire coming towards me and pinning me to the ground

He stared into my eyes, I tried to look away because I knew he was going to compel me to do something. But he kept moving his head so he was the only thing I could look at

"The next time you see a knife. You are going to stab it threw your stomach and let yourself bleed out" he said compelling me

"I understand" I said

No! No! No! Macy smack out of it!

But I couldn't. He had already compelled me and I knew that the next time I saw a knife, it won't be a pretty

The vampire instantly disappeared along with the other guy that I knocked out

"Macy?"

I turned my head to see Aaron had woken up

"What happened?" He asked

"A vampire attacked me and the other one knocked you out."

"Oh yeah. Where are they now?" He asked sitting up

I sat up too

"Their gone." I said standing to my feet

He then stood and looked at my neck

"Yeah he got you good"

"Did it get on my dress?" I asked him

He looked at my dress

"No. You still look stunning"

I smiled and held my neck so I would make sure nothing got on it

I then saw Stefan's car come into sight. He pulled over and we got in the car

"What happened?" He asked after I got in the passenger seat

"Well we were walking to Aaron's car and then a vampire came out of the woods and started drinking from my neck. Aaron tried to help but another guy came and knocked him out. I eventually snapped the vampires neck and then knocked the other one out." I explained

"Well we can get Damon to give you blood and it'll heal you" Stefan said

I looked out the window

"Does it have to be Damon. Can't you feed me your blood" I asked

"Since I don't feed on human blood it won't work as much as Damon's will" he said

I sighed, aren't I gonna enjoy having him feed me his blood after everything that just happened

"Did anything else happen while I was knocked out? Like did they attack you when they woke up" Aaron asked

I paused

"Yes. I got compelled by one of them that the next time I see a knife, I have to stab it threw my stomach and let myself bleed out"

They both were both silent for a minute

"Well I guess we have to find the vampire and kill him so the compulsion wears off" Stefan said pulling into the driving of the boarding house

"There's no way you can do that before the next time I see a knife." I said getting out of the car

There were already a lot of people here and I could hear the music from out here

"We need to find Damon so he can heal you" Stefan said walking up to the front door

I put my hand over my neck so no one could see the blood

When Stefan opened the door there were about forty people dancing and drinking beer

We walked threw the crowd and luckily no one asked me about my neck

"Go upstairs to your room. I'll find Damon" Stefan said

I nodded then me and Aaron went up to my room

When we walked into my room there was luckily no one in there and we sat on the bed and waited

After about five minutes Stefan and Damon walked threw the door

I didn't make eye contact with Damon. I just looked at the floor

"We'll be downstairs" Aaron said and then him and Stefan left the room

Damon walked over to me and examined my neck

He then but his wrist and held it to my mouth. I swallowed some then he took it away from me

My neck was instantly healed and I felt fine

"So what happened" he said sitting next to me

"Me and Aaron were walking in the park then a vampire came out of the woods then drank from my neck. Aaron got knocked out by another guy then I knocked both of them out" I said

"Do you think they were working for 'her' " he asked

"If they were, then she's not trying very hard anymore to kill me"

There was silence for a second

"Did anything else happen" he asked

"Well there is a small thing.. I got compelled so that the next time I see a knife I'll stab it threw me stomach and let myself die" I said standing up

Damon then stood up

"Well then we have to find out a way to stop it"

"There's nothing you can do Damon" I said then walked to the door

He then appeared in front of me

"Macy. Please, you didn't give me a chance to explain why I want to open the tomb" he said

"You don't need to. I know, you want Katherine back" I said trying to get to the door

"No that's not the reason" he said

"Then what is? To release 27 vampires into Mystic Falls and watch us all get exposed?" I said then moved past him and was about to go out the door

"She has something of Stefan and my moms" he said

I paused and turned around to look at him

"She has something that belonged to your mom?" I asked moving towards him

Damon has only talked about his mom one other time and it was when he explained to me how she died of sickness. He loved her so much and he never likes to bring her up

"Yes." He looked at the ground "at first, when I heard there was a tomb and that Katherine was still alive. I wanted to open it so we could be together, but that was fifty years ago. After ten years I finally realized that I was nothing to her and I stopped looking. But a year ago a good friend of Katherine told me that she had my moms locket in the tomb. So I've been trying to open it ever since" he said

I felt so bad. I yelled at him for nothing. He didn't deserve the anger and guilt I gave him

"Damon.. I'm so sorry. For yelling at you and for being mad at you. I didn't know" I said then walked to him and hugged him

"It's okay Macy" he said wrapping his arms around me

We stood like that for a minute then I said,

"I'll help you" I said pulling back to look at him "You need a witch to open the tomb don't you?"

"Yes. But a witch I asked a few months ago said the spell is very powerful" he said

"And I'm a very powerful witch. And I can use Orris if I have to"

"Okay. But I'm want to make sure you don't get hurt"

"I won't" I said. But I knew I would. My dream said I would and so did Aaron

"Ok, well we better get back to the party" he said smiling at me

He then gave me a sweet kiss and we headed for the door
