Redo

I climbed into Jason's old truck and looked around for any clue as to what we were doing. There were none.

"Is it the same as last time" I asked. "Because I want to know whether or not I have to redo all of my guesses."

"I'm not gonna tell you" Jason said smirking as we began to drive away.

"Meanie" I pouted and he just laughed at me.

"Call me what ever you want it won't change my mind"  He told me.

"Fine I give up just turn on the radio" I said and he obeyed.

The radio came on and blasted Blown Away by Carrie Underwood.  I began humming along and near the end of the song I burst out singing.

"There’s not enough rain in Oklahoma To wash the sins out of that house There's not enough wind in Oklahoma To rip the nails out of the past
Shatter every window 'til it’s all blown away (blown away)Every brick, every board, every slamming door blown away (blown away)'til there’s nothing left standing, Nothing left of yesterday (blown away)Every tear-soaked whiskey memory blown away,
Blown away, blown away, blown away, blown away"

Jason just laughed as the next song came on.   After I realized what song it was I joined in. Jason Already knew that it was Dead man by Jars of clay and had already sung the first verse.

January One I got a lot of things on my mind

I'm looking at my bodyT

hrough a new spy satellite
I try to lift a finger

But I don't think I can make the call

So tell me if I move'

Cause I don't feel anything at all
So carry me

I'm just a dead man

Lying on the carpet

Can't find a heartbeat
Make me breathe

I wanna be a new man

Tired of the old one

Out with the old plan
I woke up from a dream

About an empty funeral

But it's better than the party

Full of people I don't really know
Well, they've got hearts to break and burn

Dirty hands to feel the earth

There's something in my veins

But I can't seem to make it work

It won't work
So carry me

I'm just a dead man

Lying on the carpet

Can't find a heartbeat
Make me breathe

I wanna be a new man

Tired of the old one

Out with the old plan
Can you find a beat inside of me?

Any pulse, getting worse

Any pulse, getting worse

Inside of me, can you find a beat?
Carry me

I'm just a dead man

Lying on the carpet

Can't find a heartbeat
Make me breathe

I wanna be a new man

Tired of the old one

Out with the old plan
Carry me

I'm just a dead man

Lying on the carpet

Can't find a heartbeat
Make me breathe

I wanna be a new man

Tired of the old one

Out with the old plan

I finished the song and looked out the window to see a beautiful lake. As I looked at it I noticed a couple things I would like to photograph.  I would definitely come back here some day.

Jason tapped me on the shoulder and said "You've been Zoned out for a while come on."

I hopped out of the car and followed him down to the lake shore where a checkered blanket was spread out.  There was a basket in the middle and I assumed I was filled with food.  It was and Jason and I spent the rest of the day playing in the water and snacking on the fruit and cracker he had brought.
