Eight years later she is twenty nine

I raced out of the kitchen following my four year old son, Kane.  He was growing up to be just like his father. In other words he was a very teasing playful boy.  I loved him but he was always up to something.

This time he had stole cookie dough.  He knew I couldn't run to fast because I was pregnant again this time with a girl  which we would name Cece.

Kane turned around to stick his tongue out at me and his father snuck up behind him. I smirked and watched the scene unfold before me.

"Boo!" Shouted Jason.

Kane gave a startled yelp and threw the cookie dough.  I watched in mock horror as it splattered against the wall.

"Babe you were supposed to save the dough" I scolded as he and Kane high-fived.

He shook his head and said "come on hon you knew it was gone the moment he laid his hands on it." Jason told me.

I nodded "true but you still get clean up duty" I called as I turned and ran away.

"Hey" Kane yelled and I heard the thumping of their feet coming up behind me.

I giggled and ran around the corner. Glancing around the kitchen I spotted an empty cabinet.  Crawling inside I waited for them to find me.

After about five minutes I grew bored and decided they had given up.  Before I could open the door Kane did.

"Boo" He screamed.

I laughed and crawled out of the cabinet to go find my husband.  I had barely stood up when Jason appeared behind me. He stretched out his fingers and began tickling me. As I collapsed in a heap of laughter Kane joined in.

I smiled as I thought I love my family.
