Slyfox x Immortal Fanfiction (Yaoi) Ch. 9

(Aleks' point of view)

I feel something heavy on my chest, but I have no time to process this, before I'm suddenly awoken by Puppy Chefs' wet tongue. I pat her head and slide her off me, Sly giggling all the way. I rub my eyes, my world still spinning. 

"Hey, Kevin and Steven are visiting," Sly says, changing the channel on the Tv.

"What? Where are they?" I ask.

"They're in the extra bedroom, I wouldn't wake them though, Steven is curled up in Kevins arms," Sly giggles.

"What? They're a thing?!" I ask, "How long was I fucking asleep!?" 

"Just three hours," Sly giggles. I look at the clock, it's noon. Their sleeping at noon? I guess it was a long ride.

"Wanna' get a bite to eat?" I ask, getting up and stretching out my legs. 

"Ehh, I don't wanna leave the house today, pizza?" He asks. 

"Sure, You're paying," I grin. He sticks his tongue out at me.

"Someone say pizza?" Kevin asks, walking out of the room, Steven clinging to his shirt. Okay, they are really cute together.

"Damn, I was hoping you wouldn't wake up so I won't have to pay for you," Eddie whines, pouting. Kevin and Steven sit on the couch.

"I can help pay, I brought money," Steven says, reaching for his wallet.

"It's fine, I was just kidding around," Sly grins, "Pepperoni all right for everyone?" We all nod, as Sly orders the pizza. 

(Eddies' point of view)

The pizza arrives, and Steven and Keven actually break apart to eat. It's a miracle! I look over at Aleks, he isn't digging in like he usually is. No fucking way, him losing his appetite is fucking impossible, right?

"What's wrong Aleks?' I ask, He hasn't taken but three small bites of his slice. 

"Hmm? Nothing," He says, waking up from his trance. He starts eating, nibbling, his pizza slice. 

"Aleks, I can tell when something is wrong, just tell me," I ask, he sighs.

"I-I'm worried about Spidarious," He says, setting down his pizza slice. 

"Who's Spidarious?" Kevin asks, washing pizza down with a glass of milk.

"His pet spider," I say, we did kind of leave him with his brother. I completely forgot about it...

"What if he forgot to feed him? Or just threw him out?!" Aleks asks, gritting his teeth. Shit, I didn't think about what he was leaving behind when I asked him to move in with me... I sigh.

"Then... lets go back," I say, he looks up at me.

"R-really?" He asks, his voice trembling, he's scared.

"Like you said, if we travel in a group, he can't do anything," I say.

"Uhm, what's going on?" Steven asks.

"I'll explain it on the way," I say, I see Aleks grab his keys, I grab them out of his hands.

"I'm driving," I say.

- Time jump -

Aleks grabs the emergency key under the fake rock and unlocks the door, slowly. The lights are off, there are loud snoring noises coming from the living room. We sneak in, heading for Aleks' room. Aleks rushes in, seeing Spacious' cage empty. 

"Where could he have gone?" I ask, searching his room. His computer was smashed to pieces, no reason trying to scrap it. Asshole. We overturn practically everything before I see it. It's lifeless body curled in the garbage can. 

"Maybe we can look some other time," I say, trying to push Aleks out of the room. He follows my gaze and sees it. He gasps, covering his mouth. He starts shaking uncontrollably.

"I'm sorry," I Steven, patting his back, I can tell he's fighting tears. 

"L-lets just go home," He says. I nod, that's probably the best idea. I drive us home, the car staying completely silent.

"I'm going to bed," Aleks says weakly, going to our room. I follow him, saying goodnights to Kevin and Steven. I see Aleks curled up, still fighting back tears. I grab him, pulling him into a hug.

"It's allright Aleks," I say, rubbing his back. 

"I-it's my fault Eddie," He says, I feel my chest getting wet. He blames himself?

"No Aleks, none of this is your fault," I say, slightly rocking him, cradling him in my arms.

"This is. I didn't come back for him. I left him there," Aleks says, slightly choking on his tears.

"I didn't let you go, if it's anyone's fault it's mine," I say, stroking his hair.

"You were just protecting me," He says, his voice muffled by my shirt.

"Then lets agree to not blame ourselves," I say, he slowly nods. I lay him down on the bed, still holding him. I swipe some hair out from his eyes, already asleep. I kiss his forehead and pull up the covers, going back to cuddling him. Call me selfish, but I want the last thing he feels before he sleeps entirely to be my embrace. I love him so much, much more than words could ever describe.
