Jett wrapped her hand around the dusty doorknob of the apartment building. Her breathing was rigid and Radar was scared she was going to have a panic attack. The door creaked open and she began to walk down the hallway to the third door on the left. It was a trashy and sketchy apartment, walls had been broken in or door kicked down but the third door was standing tall.
She knocked, once, twice, three times.
There was shuffling behind the door, muffled whispers before it slowly began to open. Jett's heart was pounding, tears brimmed in her eyes.
"Jett?"
"Gina!" The door swung open and Jett fell into her friends arms. She was sobbing loudly, completely relieved. "I thought we'd never find you again."
Gina, who was in complete shock just held Jett for the benefit of both of them.
The group began to crowd around the doorframe, Simon ran over to Radar and hugged him tightly. Sid was completely baffled for once and wasn't able to speak.
"Kel...Kelsey?" Jett looked up at everyone.
"She's sleeping." Cali smiled softly. "Let's go see her."
While everyone began to ask Radar what happened, Jett followed Cali into the messy apartment. It was set up like an army base, guns laying around in a corner, sleeping bags rolled out on couches and floors, food sprawled out on counters, nothing changed. The individual room in which Kelsey was sleeping in was a light pink colour, her sleeping sister lay still in the dim afternoon lights.
"Kelsey." Cali whispered. "Someone is here to see you."
Kelsey squeezed her eyes, slowly moving as she had just woken up. She blinked a few times before her mouth formed an 'O'.
"Hey little sis." Jett grinned.
"Jett!" Kelsey wrapped an arm around her sister and began to cry.
"It's okay, I'm here now and I'm not ever going to leave you again."
