Phil's POV

Because Dan has seemed so happy since we've been becoming closer, I thought it was time that I asked him to be my boyfriend. Just the thought made my stomach fill with butterflies and brings a smile to my face. But, I wanted to do so with style, so I decided to take him out for dinner at a nice restaurant.

I told him that where we were going was a surprise, which made him beam like 1,000 suns. I loved his smile. I loved him.

We got dressed for dinner and we head out, making sure not to forget to lock the door behind us. I opened the passenger side door for him as he smiled appreciatively and got in. I walked around to the driver's side, got in the car, and we were off.

Dan's POV

I was really excited for Phil's special surprise outing. We hadn't really gone out anywhere special with just the two of us in a while. It was nice to know that this time, when I felt the urge to slip my hand in his, I didn't have to restrain it.

Phil finally pulled up to a nice restaurant that I had heard good things about. The sight of it's fancy chandelier from it's huge window was enough to send a grin onto my face.

"Oh, Phil, it's beautiful!" I gasped as he smirked and parked the car. As soon as he stopped the vehicle, I opened the door and stood there in awe of the grand building. He put both of his hands on my shoulders and rested his head on the crook of my neck.

"And it's all for you, Love," he whispered to me. I turned around and hugged him real tight, still in shock of this amazing restaurant.

Phil pulled away. "Let's go inside, shall we?" He asked. I nodded enthusiastically and we walked to it's huge front doors.

We walked in and saw a bunch of tables spread around the dining room with light from the chandelier's crystals bouncing off the walls.

A beautiful young lady stood behind a podium. I gave her a small smile, but her eyes were trained on Phil next to me. I looked back at Phil to see him completely taken by her beauty. Eyes bugging out of his head and his mouth hanging open, it was no secret that he had fallen in love at first sight.

My heart broke in two. I could feel a sob building up in my throat but my sorrow swallowed it up. I felt too empty to cry. The one person who I thought finally loved me...

What did you expect? He couldn't keep pretending to like you and it's been long enough anyway. You should go back to the razor, you utter disappointment.

I looked down at my arms. Since it's been a few days since the incident, the bandages had come off there were just slightly healed cuts on my arms. It was all hidden beneath my long sleeved sweatshirt, of course. I pulled down my sleeve a bit to reveal the top of a cut that went all the way down my forearm. I was lucky I didn't need stitches for that.

You should start researching how to tie a noose if you can't even slice or drown yourself properly.

The voice taunted me. But it was right. I looked back at where Phil used to be to find no one there. I looked up and found him arm in arm with the pretty server lady, leading him to a table in the middle of the room.

Every bone in my body telling me to turn around and head out the door, I followed the two to the table.

"What can I get you to drink?" She asked Phil, who was still staring at her with goo goo eyes.

"Uhm..." His eyes lowered to her chest.

"Just water please," he squeaked, obviously intimidated and taken by the waitress, who I had just noticed was wearing a rather low-cut dress to be at work.

"No problem, Hun," she ruffled his hair and planted a kiss on his cheek. I was still standing near the table shell-shocked at this woman's actions. Who did she think she was?

Phil lifted his hand to his cheek where the lady's lips had been just a few seconds ago. His face turned a deep shade of red as he smiled to himself.

For whatever reason, I decided to sit in the other seat at the table, trying my best not to cry. Phil looked as if he hadn't even noticed I had sat down. He just looked longingly at the doors that the woman had disappeared behind a few seconds ago.

Only a few moments later, she reappeared through them with Phil's water in hand and a devilish smile on her face.

She walked up to our table and set his glass down. She seemed to notice me for the first time and frowned at me.

"Oh my, it seems this street boy has taken my seat..."

Street boy? I guess I did look a bit underdressed for a fancy place like this.

"Dan!" Phil grunted in embarrassment and anger as he glared at me. I hated that evil look in his eye.

Shut up, you deserve it.

"Oh, no, it's fine," she insisted as she walked closer to Phil and sat on his lap. He swallowed hard.

"Nevermind," he breathed taking in every inch of her face that was only a little ways away from his.

"What did you say your name was again?" Phil asked her, still entranced.

"Bella," she answered, a smile working it's way onto her lips.
