Ezio's POV
"ACHOO!" A loud sneeze had broken my concentration, almost causing me to fall off the roof I was running on. I don't have a cold... (In Japan there is a superstition that when someone is talking about you without you being present, you will sneeze... I just thought that Ezio sneezing would be the cutest thing though!) I shook it off and kept running until I came to a familiar courtyard and front door.
I had stopped by Leo's workshop to ask him about a few codex pages but all that was there was an informant who told me he had moved to Venice this morning. What does Leo want in Venice? I wondered as I made my way towards the mountain tracks he would have to pass through to get to the docks of Forlì.
I got a few kilometres up the winding road when I happened upon Leo's carriage, slumping on three wheels with the fourth lying on the ground a few metres away. The owner of this wreck was crouching down near the site of the missing wheel and frowning.
"Leonardo!" I call, dismounting my horse and rushing to assist the man.
"Ezio! We were just talking about you, I'm glad you've come to our aid." He smiles at me and puts both hands on my upper arms.
"We? Our? Leo, there is nobody else here..." I glance around but I still can't find the mysterious second person.
"Oh, she isn't here anymore. She went to scout ahead for help, although I'm a little worried about her since she left a couple of hours ago... Maybe I should have gone with her... Oh dear..." He looks down and frowns at the floor, his eyes nervously widening and darting around.
"I'm sure she's fine! How can we fix the cart?"
Fixing the cart was simple, I had to hold up the rest of it while Leo slid on the last wheel and tightened it in place.
"Get in, I'll drive and we'll catch up with this 'friend' of yours." I smile at his confused face and let out a chuckle.
"Why did you...oh!" His eyes widen and his face goes a shade redder than usual. "She's just my friend! There's nothing going on with us...I mean...I uh... She's just a tenant at my workshop!"
"Yes I'm sure she's just that." I hop up into the drivers bench and Leo sits beside me, still muttering and blushing. I sigh, I'm glad for him. I know the feeling of loving someone so hard you can barely breath, the kind of love where your heart pumps so fast it almost stops. But I've also known the feeling of rejection. A feeling I wouldn't wish upon anyone.

(Y/n)'s POV
It took a little while longer to get the kid home since about one kilometre away from the hay bail he complained about his feet hurting. Irksome little... I wasn't pleased about it, but I let him clamber onto my back and wrap his arms and legs around my waist and neck.
I'm pretty sure he's asleep but I don't want to check and wake him up. He'd probably start complaining again!
Carrying the dead weight of this brat, it took me almost an hour to get back to his mother's house. She was very tearful and I was 110% done. I just want to get the cart fixed and get to Venice! I hear it's the city of love and ,to be honest, I wouldn't mind a little love coming my way. It would be a welcome distraction if anything, recently there's been too much gloom in my life and it's depressing as hell. I'm tired of this Templar vs Assassin nonsense, it's not worth dying for.
Two men from the village join the conversation, bringing three horses with them. We mount them and head down the path back towards the spot where I left Leo. We ride for barely 3 minutes when I spot our ,now mended, cart hurtling down the track towards the three of us. On closer inspection the is somebody besides Leo steering the horses and guards on horses in pursuit of them.
"Sorry guys, looks like my rides already been fixed. Guess we all had our time wasted today! You can take the horse back now, and tell that kid to be more careful from now on." I shout the last part, steadily standing up on my moving horse.
Timing it perfectly, I wait for the cart to shuttle past and I pounce into one of the men on horseback, delivering a swift kick to his rib cage to send him flying from his horse.
I swivel around to sit properly on the horse and spur it on, gaining on the cart. I finally draw level with it and Leo holds out his arms,
"JUMP BELLA!!!" He calls out as he stands up and edges closer to my horse.
With one last calculating glance I draw my legs up to crouch and then spring off towards Leo. Involuntarily, I squeeze my eyes shut and throw out my arms, only opening them once I feel a pair of strong arms gripping me tightly and hear a soothing voice in my ear,
"I've got you, open your eyes and sort out those guards." He says, a hint of authority in his voice. Wow, I never pegged him for a top! (If you don't get it then you are probably too innocent)
Whipping my head around, I asses the situation. Three guards on horseback but probably more as backup along this road. It isn't very windy so the only thing my arrows will have to combat is the movement of this carriage.
I hop down into the cart filled with contraptions and all our boxes and locate my weapons bag. I draw my bow and arrow, ten arrows, not bad.
I pull myself back up and plop back onto the front bench, finally catching a glimpse of the second man. Oh shit...I really hope that the new fashion trend is white robes and capes! Please don't let Leo's friend be who I think it is... I brush it off and focus on the task at hand."There's only three at the moment...if you can keep the carriage steady then I might be able to get them all in just one shot..." I say as I notch up three arrows and draw back the bowstring as far as I can. I take a deep breath and release the string, watching the arrows fly and hit their targets.
"Amazing! I knew you were good but this is...!"
"Leo I need you to sit in the cart, you'll be shielded from the arrows and any guards who are stupid enough to try and get onboard." I demand, notching another arrow and scanning the area. Leo scampers down the hatch and I relax when it closes.
"(Y/n)..."
"No." Is all I can bring myself to say. My heart is racing and my head feels like it's going to implode! I clear my throat and try to continue without and stutters or breaks. "We'll talk when we're out of this mess...right now you just focus on steering."

Sorry it's short but oh well, it's still an update.
Well I'm going to bed now so good night folks!
