*Chresanto's POV*

"Yeah, it's crazy how fast she grew up. It feels like yesterday was the day she was born." I told my dad. We were talking about Kaden.

"Time flies with kids." He agreed.

"DADDY!" Kaden yelled, running to me. She was crying. I ran over to her and picked her up.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Dat man have mommy. He hurt her daddy." She cried.

"Where at?" I asked. I put her down and held her hand as she ran back to her mom.

I heard quiet cries from inside the room she brought me in. I told Kaden to stand back and she hid behind my dad and his wife.

"Jazmine? Open the door!" I yelled, banging on it. No one did anything. I stood back and backed away. I backed up about six feet, and then ran into it. I bumped it with my shoulder when I got there and it flew open. Football paid off.

I walked in and there was De'Quan, kicking Jazmine in the face while she was curled up in a ball, protecting her head. She said something, but I couldn't hear it. I snatched him off of her and threw him against the wall.

I punched him in the face, over and over again. Well, it probably seemed like I two-pieced him over and over again. Left, right, left, right. Boxing paid off too. I kept punching him until he got himself together and realized it was me. Then he tried punching back. At first he caught me off guard, and I stumbled back a little.

He tackled to me and started punching me. He's weak though, I flipped us over and continued sending blows to face, like he was doing to Jazmine. I heard a snap when I hit his noes one time, but I didn't stop. Everything turned black, and all I know is I kept swinging.

"Daddy!" I heard someone yell. Then I was being pulled off. I fought to get out the grips, not really sure if I didn't.

Soon, I started seeing again. The first thing I noticed was Jazmine on the floor, unconscious, with Kaden sitting beside her, and Crystal, who was holding Des. Kayla was on the phone with, I'm guessing, the police. Renee was cleaning up the blood on Jazmine. I went to her side, taking Kaden into my lap and Des into my arms. I held onto Jazmine until the ambulance got there. The police let the medics take care of De'Quan, and then he was taken into custody. I tried to get him a few more times, but the girls were crying. I sat with Jazmine, I can get him later.

"Chresanto, can Kayla and I ride with you to the hospital?" Renee asked. I nod and pick up the girls.

We hurried to the truck, as everyone stood back so they could wheel out Jazmine. My aunts, uncles and cousins, also my dad, step-mom, brothers and sisters all came to the hospital. The rest went home. My dad stopped by their house to get Kayla and Renee some things. They wanted to be there to help me with the girls tonight. I agreed, I'll probably have to cook dinner, bathe the girls, it's a lot to do alone. Plus, I get to know my little sisters.

Don't think I'm letting Quan get away with this, he'll gets what's coming for him, I just have to wait, because Jazmine is much more important to me.

I pulled into the hospital and found a close spot to park. We all got out the truck. I carried Des' carseat, Kayla carried Kaden, Renee carried the diaper bag. We ran in to find Jazmine's room.

"Hey, I need to know what room Jazmine Lopez is in." I told the receptionist.

"She's in- oh, you're hot. Can I get your number?" She asked, looking up and getting distracted. I don't have time for this.

"No, you can't. What you can do is tell me what room my fiancé is in." I half-yelled. She jumped.

"She's in room 342, on the third floor. She's having surgery right now." She told me. I thanked her before we all took off to the elevator.
