Song Of The Day: Daylight by 5 Seconds Of Summer

I think I forgot the song last chapter, oops. Anyway, here's the chapter for today. I'm trying not to have an artist or band twice, but it happens.

*Jazmine's POV*

"The jury finds De'Quan August guilty in fifteen out of fifteen accounts of domestic violence, three out three accounts of child support. You are sentenced to fifteen years, no bail with two years of probation, two hundred and fifty hours of community service, three hundred hours of anger management, and three hundred hours of counseling." The judge announced. I felt so relieved. De'Quan just turned eighteen a month ago, so he was charged as an adult.

I hugged Santo tightly, crying, tears of joy of course. He can't hurt anyone else for a long time. I kind of felt bad cause he won't get a chance to have kids no. Wait, he already has four. Weird right? They're all only a few months apart.

"I told you it was gonna be okay, baby." Santo whispered, holding me tightly. He seemed relieved himself.

"I'm so happy." I whispered into his chest.

"Me too, baby girl, me too."

Santo cupped my face with his hands and kissed my lips. Everyone around us was going crazy(not literally) celebrating in their own way. I pecked Santo's lips over and over again before he grabbed my waist and pulled me closer, bringing his lips to mine.

We both had huge weights lifted off of our shoulders by this. He was gone, he can't hurt me, he can't hurt the girls, he can't hurt Santo, he can't hurt anyone anymore. It's a good feeling.

We all decided to go to dinner to celebrate, so we went to Mama's house. A bunch of teens running to a friends house for dinner, that sounds about right. But she makes the best food in the world. We loaded the girls in the truck, then we got in. Kayla and Renee were riding with us, Maya and the younger twins were riding with his biological dad. They were coming too, yeah De'Quan was their big brother and son, but they were happy that he wouldn't hurt anyone else. They kind of disowned him, which made me feel a little bad. He deserved it kind of though, he hurt a lot of people. But it had to hurt for your parents to disown you.

"You okay, baby?" Santo asked. "You seem a little out of it."

"Yeah, just thinking." I told him. I laid my head on his shoulder, closing my eyes. "And kind of tired."

At mama's house, we were all joking around and having a good time. It feels so carefree. It was fun. Even the parents were getting along well. Pops started music and everyone was dancing around. Santo picked me up and started spinning.

He looked up at me and pecked my lips, keeping me up in the air. "Mm, I love you." He stated, in-between kisses.

"I love you." I replied, still giving and receiving kisses.

Everyone continues dancing, and Ray goes beside Vanessa, starting a conversation with her and Meila. Val went over to Jacob, grabbed him by the collar and smashed her lips to his. He pushed her away immediately. "Ew, what is wrong with you, hoe? Do you not see my girlfriend right here? My girlfriend of four years? I know you know where together cause we were when you were still around. Get away from me, cause it's taking everything in me not to punch the everything out of you right now. I don't believe in hitting females, but if you don't get away." Jacob trailed off, turning red. Jacob doesn't normally get angry.

Kayla sat Kaden down, tied her hair up and told Santo to take the kids out. Then she lunged at Val. We saw that coming. She didn't even hit Val, she grabbed her hair and drug her out there. You will never see Kay fight in a house, especially one that's not hers. It's disrespectful.
