Song: 'California Love' by Tupac and Dr. Dre

Please read the authors note at the end...

"Babe, Kaden's hungry." I told Santo. He smiled at me as I walked over holding he hand. He was in the truck changing Des' diaper.

"Okay, let me finish changing this nasty diaper and then we can go somewhere." He told me. Des went number two, and he did not want to change it, but my arm is broke. "Alright, let's go." Santo picked up Des and buckled her properly in her seat. Then he buckled Kaden in hers.

"I am never changing another poopy diaper in my life." Santo mumbled, making me giggle. "Where are we going, my loves?" Santo asked us, smiling.

"Daddy, can we go to Grandma's house. I looooooooove her food!!" Kaden cheered, dragging out the 'love.' Well, she is a good cook.

"Okay, Princess. Baby, will you call my mom and ask if we can come over for lunch?" Santo asked.

"Yeah." I answered. I moved to the middle seat and laid my head on his shoulder. "Babe?"

"Hmm?" He hummed.

"Don't be surprised." I answered, before reaching in his pocket and taking his phone. Mine was in the diaper bag, which was in the back of the truck. He still got surprised.

"Jazzy, you can't do that while I'm driving." He told me. I shrugged and buckled myself back in, except in the middle seat this time. He chuckled and shook his head. "You're something else."

"But you love me." I reminded him.

"I do." He agreed. I laid my head on his shoulder. I went in his contact, he doesn't have that many, just the guys and girls in our little group, and his family. I hit the one that said, 'Mom' and put the phone to my ear.

Momma- "Hey, baby."

Jazzy- "Hey, momma. It's Jazzy though."

Momma- *laughs a little* "Well, still, hey baby."

Jazzy- "Kaden wants to come over for lunch. She says, and I quote, 'I loooooooooove her food!'" *smiles and laughs*

Momma- *Excitedly* "Come on over. Y'all are always welcome over here. I'll start lunch."

Jazzy- "Okay, momma. We're on our way now."

Momma- "Okay, sweetie, love you."

Jazzy- "Love you too."

We hung up and I told Santo what happened. He started driving to her house. I cut the radio on, it's gonna be a long drive.

'California Love' came on, and Kaden started dancing. She's never heard it before, and she already likes it. It is a good song though. I smiled and watched her through the mirror.

"It's crazy to think that we made her. Two beautiful baby girls." Santo whispered, holding me closer.

"They are." I nodded in agreement.

"We're blessed." He added.

"Very."

In the middle of lunch, Santo's biological father called him. "I'll be right back, this might be about the court date." He told us. He left the dinning room and I looked down at my plate.

"Are you okay, honey?" Momma asked.

"Yeah, I'm just a little nervous." I admitted.

"You'll do great, Jazzy." She assured me.

"But what if he gets out and he's mad at me and hurts me? Or Santo? Or the girls?" I was truly scared, he doesn't have limits, he'll do whatever he wants to hurt people without thinking twice.
