*Jasmine's POV*

I sat there silently, debating all the options that I had and which to take. Jump out and save my kids, sit here quietly and hope the police will be here soon, or do nothing.

I hid Kaden and Des better, still sitting quietly. Then I stood up, sneaking to another side of the room, then clearing my throat. I didn't want to draw attention to where my kids are.

"There she is." He says, smirking at me.

"What do you want, De'Quan? " I ask, sounding strong.

"You put me in jail, give me one good reason not to put you in your grave."

"Better yet, why don't I?" Katherine asks. "You put my boyfriend in jail, took him from his son." She looks down at her stomach, which was huge. Yet, she was in a crop top and some short shorts, both of which were extremely tight.

"He has a couple, and a couple daughters, but what good is a dad that is abusive?" I ask.

"He's not abusive! You stupid slut! You made everyone think he was!" She pushes me against the wall, holding a gun to my head.

"Do it and you'll be in jail." I say, earning a smack to the face.

I heard a sniffle, and it wasn't me, Katherine, or De'Quan. But Katherine smirks sadistically. "They're in here, aren't they?"

"Leave them alone. They didn't do anything." I say, tears coming to my eyes this time. Why didn't I tell them to run?

"I heard the little girl was the one that went and got your husband. Where is he now? I don't see him around, did he leave you?"

I remain quiet, not wanting to give her the satisfaction she wanted. "He left, just like everyone else leaves you." She laughs. "It's funny actually. Your parents left you, your friends left you, your brother left you at one point, Craig left you, Jacob left you to die, and all I had to do was pay him. The one person you had, just left you." She fake smiles, "No one wants you, stupid whore."

"Don't forget the part where her parents faked their death and kidnapped her daughter." De'Quan adds, finding joy in this.

"That's how desperate they wanted to be away from you, enough to fake their death and leave the one child they did love, only they kept talking to him. They actually love him, but you, you're no good. I can do everyone a favor and get rid of you. You're a terrible mother, you're nothing. No one wants you, no one loves you, no even likes you." Katherine laughs again.

Her fist makes contact with my face, and I stand there and take it, not wanting the girls to get scared or hurt.

"Mommy!" Kaden yells.

"Wonderful." Katherine smirks, walking over to where Kaden is now standing by herself. Des wasn't with her.
