The next morning, I wake up at nine, feeling amazing. Santo was still sleeping peacefully beside me, his arms around me and face nuzzled in my neck. I smile, sitting up a little, trying to get up without waking my husband.
I'm gonna make breakfast for him, after I get ready. I get some clothes, just some pajama shorts and a tank top. I brush my teeth, then wash my face. I pull my hair in a top knot, then head to the kitchen.
I decide on making eggs, bacon and pancakes.
Once I'm finished, I make two plates, carrying them into the room. I fill to glasses with orange juice, then bring them into the room. Now time to wake up Santo.
I straddle his waist, leaning down to peck his lips a few times. "Baby, it's time to get up." I coo, moving his hair out of his face.
"Good morning, beautiful." He yawns. "What time is it?" He asks, not opening his eyes.
"Good morning, handsome. It's ten." I answer.
"Let me sleep for ten more minutes." He yawns.
"Then your breakfast will get cold." I pout.
He opens one eye, looking around. "Where is it?"
"Over here." I lean over, grabbing his plate.
He sits up, leaning against the headboard, so he can eat. I grab my plate, putting it on my lap, I still sat on Santo, straddling his waist.
"Its good, baby. Thank you." He pecks my lips.
"Thank you, and welcome." I smile.
"What are we doing today?" He asks.
"First of all, we are face timing the girls, I miss my babies so much. Then we're going swimming, then we're going to the Arikok National Park, we have to be there by one, so that we have three hours to explore." I inform him.
"Okay. Let me get dressed and stuff before we face time the girls." He says.
I smile at him. "Kay. But hurry, I miss my babies."
"Our." He corrects.
"I miss our babies."
"You want another one?" He asks.
"When we're older." I nod.
"Why not now?"
"Des is still little, she needs her time to shine. And if I get pregnant now, my scholarship goes down the drain. I'm the one that has to carry the baby for nine months, remember?" I ask.
"I know, but if you do end up pregnant soon, it'll barely be noticeable this season. You'd have it before next season, which is college season." He replies.
"But if I'm pregnant during basketball season, I'll only be a few months, maybe weeks. That's a high risk for a miscarriage and it's not one I want to take. It'll be too much stress on the baby." I explain.
He nods, seeing where I'm coming from. "Okay, and I get that, I respect it. When do you want more?" He asks.
"After college, when we're settled, and financially stable, with real jobs." I answer honestly.
I honestly don't know where this is coming from. We just had Des not too long ago, and we're still young. Very young. I'm seventeen, he's nineteen. We have plenty of time to have another baby, maybe he just has baby fever and it'll go away soon. Don't get me wrong, I would love to expand our family, but it's not the right time.
"Okay, we can do that." He nods.
"Good." I peck his lips.
"Alright." He sighs, finishing up his food. "Let me up so I can get dressed."
